I am Maleficent

"Hello  Wayne," a voice made Wayne's skin crawl.

The room go cold. Wayne stopped typing at the keyboard that was laid in front of him. He was working on dialogue for the new Disney Host Interactive program. It will be a perfect addition for the parks. It will help them take another step further into technology.

Wayne got up from his seat and faced the direction from where the sound came from. It was a sickly green creature wearing black robes. It's spindly fingers gripped onto a detailed scepter with a plasma ball on top.

"Ava?" Wayne asked, thinking it was a cast member. "Why are you still in your costume? The Fantasmic! show ended hours ago." Getting out of disguises usually only took an hour at least. The Maleficent costume took a little bit longer. Not this long, though.

"Who is this Ava?" she asked. Her voice was cold, she was cold.

"You aren't Ava?" Wayne asked. He was worried now. He didn't know who this was, or what they were capable of. He moved to the back of a wall where an emergency button was. If anything happened, one push and the authorities would be alerted.

"There is no need to do that, Wayne," she said. A sly grin spread across her face, she raised her scepter, and pointed it at the red button. Wayne tried to get it to sound an alarm, but it wouldn't work. Maleficent started to float from off the ground and flew right in front of Wayne. She leaned down in Wayne's ear and whispered "I am Maleficent."

Wayne was horrified. He believed her, because Walt Disney told Wayne that this would happen one day. That the villains would rise in power, and all of Walt's creations would come to life.

"What do you want?" Wayne asked, his voice sound threatening.

"No need to play games with me. I know you are afraid," Maleficent said softly. It was true, he was absolutely terrified. He continued to act brave, though.

"I am not afraid. Now, what do you want?"

"What do you think I want?" Wayne knew what she needed. Information. He was not about to give her that kind of satisfaction.

"Do you want more publicity?" he asked. Maleficent cackled.

"I thought you knew better, Wayne. To not play with me." She put her boney fingers up to his neck. Wayne had to do something. He shoved her away from him, but instead of falling to the ground, she just backed away. She laughed sinisterly, again.

"Is that the only thing you can do?" she asked, raising her voice.

"I know more than you!" Wayne cried. Maleficent's face twisted into an angry face. He had to do something, and fast.

Maleficent's hands started to form balls of fire. Before she could do anything, Wayne raced to the air conditioning system, and turned it up to ninety five degrees. It suddenly turned very hot in the room. Maleficent dropped to the ground, her powers could not work in heated areas. She got back up with a mischievous smile. She lifted her hand to send a flame flying towards Wayne, but much to her surprise, nothing happened. She started to breath heavily, thinking that her powers had been drained. She exited the room that led outside. Maleficent became stronger.

"NOTHING CAN DEFEAT ME!" she screamed at the top of her lungs. She threw flames at the building, setting off the fire alarm. As she flew up in the air and vanished, Wayne could have sworn he saw Tigger bouncing around in the distance.
