A New Life (Kaze No Stigma)

Chapter 1

Kimi's POV~

'Hmmm...there's light shining on my face. That must mean it's morning.' I slowly open my deep blue orbs and turn my head to face towards the clock on my end table. 5:30AM. 'I guess I should get up now and get ready.' I sat up and planted both feet on the floor. I got up and put on my school uniform. After I got dressed and brushed my long black hair, I watched the news while I finished eating breakfast.

"Three people mysteriously went missing sometime last night. Obito Shimata, Kanata Shimata, and Kira Shimata, the Shimata siblings were last seen 8:00 PM. Reports say that someone broke into their home, killed their dog, and kidnapped the siblings." the reporter on the screen said. 'Wow... I wonder who would do such a thing.... I should just forget about it and go to school.' I grabbed my black school bag and headed out the door.

As I entered school, my best friend, Mei Zazune, came up to me. "Hey, Kimi. Did you hear about the Shimata siblings? It's terrible." Mei said. 

 Yeah.... I've been trying to push it aside so I can just get through the day," I said with a sad smile. 

"I guess you're right. Well, see ya later," with that Mei ran off. I let out a deep sigh and smiled. ' Alright, let's have this new day also a wonderful one.'

Kasuma's POV~

My dark brown eyes shot open. My breathing was heavy and I was covered in sweat. 'Heh. Even after all this time, I still can't stop seeing that memory.'  I lazily got up and headed to the shower. 'Though the last thought she had was how much she hated me, I can't stop dreaming about that day. It was years ago yet it feels as if it all happened yesterday.' I sighed. 'At least I don't have to deal with " Princess " till later.' I got out the shower and got dressed. As I leave the bathroom I get the feeling I'm being watched and went to the window. I saw nothing so I decided to just shrug it off.

Time skip Kimi's POV~

I got home and sat my bag on my computer desk in my room. 'Alright, so I have to type a 1,000 word paper on fairy tales. This should be easy.' Within half an hour I finished my paper and sent it to my teacher. I was about to get up and start my bath when this weird feeling shot through me. 'Huh? W-what the hell? It felt as if someone was stalking me.' I quickly look out the window to find nothing but the moon and sky.

I sighed with relief. 'Thank goodness nothing was there. Now back to starting my bath.' As I laid down in my bathtub I began to feel a bit light headed. I gripped the tub and pulled myself to my feet and walked out. I wrapped my black towel around my gentle figure and drained the tub. 'I wonder what that was about.' I put my nightgown on and went to the kitchen. I ate grilled cheese for dinner. Just as I finished eating I got a text from Mei. 

"Just finished my paper and I am now drained." I laughed softly and text back. 

"Lol finished mine over two hours ago." After I replied back I went to my room. I set my phone down on my end table and laid down on my bed. 'I love my life and there's nothing I'd change about it.' I closed my blue eyes and slowly drifted to sleep.
