"WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"

Her daughter wailed and it was tearing her heart apart.

Mikyla wasn't usually loud when she cried. Mikyla doesn't even usually cry. At almost 3 and a half, Mikyla was absolutely sweet, hyper, and jolly.

But for some reason, Ky wasn't calming down at all today. She tried everything they usually did to make Ky happy but this time Ky just wouldn't stop.

She tried to sway Ky, who was on her arms, and rubbed her back

"I want Mommy! Want Mommy!" Mikyla screamed.

She kept swaying Ky while talking to her in a hushed tone.

"Baby, Mommy's has a very important game to play."

"I want to go to Mommy!" Mikyla cried again.

This was the first time that she was having a difficult time with Ky even though Ky was more of a Mommy's girl than a Mama's girl. Alyssa was the one who can make Ky laugh or follow without trying hard.

"Mommy! Mommy! Mama, I want Mommy!"

Mikyla's cry really was breaking her whole being. She couldn't take it when her daughter cries, especially that much.

"Okay, baby. We'll call Mommy. We'll call," she said in a slight panic.

She took out her phone and called Alyssa on facetime.

"Hi, Babe!" Alyssa greeted.

The moment Ky heard her Mommy's voice, Ky turned to the phone.

Alyssa frowned.

"Is my princess crying? What's wrong, baby?" Alyssa asked worriedly.

"Mommy! I want to go there! I want Mommy!" Mikyla wailed again.

"Ssssssh, baby. It's okay. Mommy will come home later-"

"No! I want Mommy!"

Alyssa stopped.

With tears continuously flowing down their baby's face, both she and Alyssa looked at each other with worry and pity.

"Babe, punta na lang kaya kayo dito?" Alyssa suggested.

"Mama, I want to go to Mommy!" Mikyla turned to her again.

She looked at her baby's face and her heart constricted. But when she looked at Alyssa, she couldn't keep the fear off her face.

"Babe, we shouldn't," she said solemnly.

Alyssa knew that she didn't want to put people's attention on Ky. The two of them have kept their private life private for as much as they could. When they take Ky to the mall, they made sure it wasn't the crowded ones to lessen the chances of people recognizing them. But this, this was different. It's volleyball. Everyone will know them and will have their prying eyes on their baby.

Their family was unconventional. People can say anything they want to say about her, about her relationship with Alyssa, but she doesn't know what she might do if she hears any negative remarks about or towards their daughter.

"It's gonna be fine, Babe," Alyssa said trying to reassure her.

She still was contemplating.

"Baby, you want to go to Mommy?"

She saw her daughter nod meekly.

"Then stop crying na. Mama will take you here if you promise to stop crying and behave."
