"Babe!"
She was already half yelling as she shook her wife.
"Babe! Wake up!"
She kept trying to wake Mika up from the nightmare the latter seems to be having. An uncommon occurence which was why she was panicking.
"Babe! Ano ba! Wake up already!"
But when Mika only kept groaning, she decided to bite Mika on her shoulder.
"Aaaah!" Mika jolted awake, sweating profusely.
"Thank God you're finally awake!" she exclaimed when Mika met her eyes.
To her surprise, Mika started crying and sat up so they were at eye level. Mika then started hitting her lightly on her chest.
"Tangina mo, Alyssa! Fuck you," Mika ranted as she hit her.
Mika kept cursing her and hitting her. Even though it didn't hurt, Mika's behavior still bothered her.
She trapped Mika in her arms, also limiting Mika's arms movement.
"Ssssh, Babe, it's just a dream. A bad dream. I'm here," she said soothingly while rubbing Mika's back.
Mika sobbed even harder.
She let Mika. She only whispered words of comfort and her love until Mika calmed down.
"What happened, Babe?" she asked as she wiped the remnants of Mika's tears.
"You...You...You're a fucking asshole!" Mika exclaimed before clinging onto her.
She chuckled internally because she's never a fucking asshole. It must have been one hell of a nightmare.
She hugged Mika tightly instead as she laid both of them back down in the bed.
Mika put her face at the crook of her neck as Mika held onto her tightly.
"I'm not going anywhere, Babe," she tried to reassure Mika. "And whatever it is nightmare-me did, I won't ever do it."
Mika looked up and searched her eyes for the truth. When Mika was satisfied with what she saw, Mika leaned up for a kiss.
It was needy. It was passionate. It was a kiss asking for reassurance. A kiss she was more than willing to give.
After they both ran out of breath and Mika was almost back to normal, she asked what was wrong again.
Mika told her the nightmare Mika had. Vividly.
"What the hell?! Babe! You know I would never do that!" She exclaimed in protest after Mika was done with her story.
"I know, Babe," Mika admitted. "The dream just felt too real."
She turned to Mika seriously.
"Tell me, are you hiding something from me? Did you somehow cross paths with Sandy again and didn't tell me? Is she threatening our family? I'll hunt her down. I swear to-"
Mika shut her up with a kiss.
"You're over thinking. Walang ganoon, Babe. I don't understand why I dreamt that either."
It's been two years since that debacle with Sandy happened. It's not like it almost ruined their marriage. No. No one could tear them apart that easily.
"How could you have not realized it was a dream, Babe? Do you not remember all the promises I made that time we made up? Or don't you believe me?" she asked, feeling a bit hurt.
