"Gago, Aly! HAHAHAHA. 'Yung anak mo! HAHAHAHA."

Ara and Kim were hardly talking but just laughing from the other end of the line. They were laughing so she guessed it was nothing to worry about.

The WAFS were on a party hosted and attended by their business' investors and clienteles. Yes, their business. The one Mika shared with them before they got married. Although in papers, her businesses and Mika's businesses were already signed under both of their names, they still manage those separately and only consult each other.

Ky was in a training camp in Cebu and she couldn't go because she also had urgent things she needed to take care of today so it was Al who escorted Mika in this party that started earlier in the afternoon.

"Guys, anong meron kay Al?" she asked.

But the two only kept laughing before actually telling the story.

Mika, Ara, and Kim were in a party hosted and attended by big time and long time investors in the business the three of them shared. Supposedly, only the three of them were going to attend because their spouses were busy bodies. But the 10-year-old Alrin was with them because truth be told, Al was every bit as protective of Mika as Alyssa. And since Alyssa couldn't come, Alyssa's male version had to be there to make sure no one would dare to hit on Mika.

In fact, as far as they know, it had been a gruelling process before Mika was allowed to wear the red, body-fitting, long-sleeved dress that brought out her beauty and figure. From what they've heard, a lot of Mika's initial choices were rejected by not only Alyssa but Alrin and Mikyla too.

"Babe, too revealing. People will get  more glimpse of your skin that's only mine to see," Alyssa said to a dress that didn't even have that much of a plunging neck line.

"Ma, your legs are showing. People will ogle," Ky said about a dress that had a slit that wasn't even too high.

"Mama, you're too gorgeous in that. People will fall in love even more," Al said about a laced, cream-colored dress that Mika rocked.

Those were some of the comments Mika received according to their informant (Nanay Selya).

Mika's family was definitely a source of enjoyment for Ara and Kim. Especially Al who definitely took after Alyssa and was great at keeping men away from Mika.

At 10, Al was 5 feet tall, still about a ruler shorter than Mika but he stood proud and tall. He gave off  a very intimidating aura that 10 year olds don't usually possess. It was also very different from the usual sweet, smiling boy they get to interact with me. Seriously, Al seemed like a different person.

Just one look from Al and men who most definitely had plans to flirt with Mika would back off.

Well, it couldn't be helped that Mika was attracting a lot of attention. She still looked like she was on her early 30s. And in the business the three of them owned, Mika being the only girly girl, all men's eyes were on her.

The situation became a whole lot complicated when Mr. Cheu, their biggest investor/client, had the guts to blatantly hit on Mika.

Mr. Cheu was a few years older than them and had always shown interest on Mika. From what they know, Mr. Cheu was a fan of Mika even when she still was a Reyes.  Everybody knew about it. Alyssa, Mika, and their friends knew because Mr. Cheu was that obvious. He never crossed his boundaries though so they couldn't do anything about it. Mika also always told them to ignore it because she didn't want to lose such an important business partner. She handled the situation well because she was always polite and professional when dealing with him.
