She offered another silent thank you prayer to God. Alyssa and their baby were going to be alright.

She was holding Alyssa's hand who was still sleeping peacefully.

The doctors guaranteed her that Alyssa was only out of consciousness still because of the anaesthesia they gave her. And even though, for a moment, they said both her wife and her baby's hearts stopped, both of them fought and got through it bravely.

She was proud of her wife and unborn child. Oh, God, she was truly thankful she didn't lose any of them. She wouldn't have known what to do.

But the almost was enough to drive her crazy.

Her attention was caught by the small movement of their best friends, Vic and Den, who were sleeping on the other hospital bed with Ky between them.

Those two.

She wouldn't have known what to do without those two.

Everything happened like a blur. She wasn't thinking and registering anything.

All she knew was that she held her wife's hand all throughout and prayed as hard as she could for their safety while crying.

Nothing else was running on her mind but her wife and their unborn child's safety.

Oh, God, help her. She couldn't lose them.

When they got into the hospital and Alyssa had to be taken to the emergency room, she wanted to go with her. She knew she couldn't go inside though.

But when they said they had to transfer Alyssa to the surgery room to monitor Alyssa and their child better and also to sew up the wound on Alyssa's head, she knew she could watch over her wife from the observatory that the hospital had for the surgery room.

She was already losing her mind with worry as it was and the middle-aged, head nurse who stopped her from seeing her wife made her go completely crazy.

"What do you mean I can't see my wife?!" she yelled.

"I'm sorry, Ma'am, but only immediate family are allowed in that area," the nurse said calmly.

"I'm her wife!" she shouted, totally not calm, as she showed the band on her ring finger that symbolized their union.

"Ma'am, sorry po talaga. Pero hindi po nirerecognize na immediate family ang kinakasama dito, girlfriend man po o ka-live in."

WHAT THE FUCK?!

"We are legally married in Las Vegas!" and she spouted all the details about their wedding. "Magpapadala ako sa inyo ng laminated photocopy of our marriage certificate if you want at pwede niyong isaksak 'yun sa baga nino man! Just let me see my wife now!" she screamed.

"What's going on here?" a voice suddenly spoke up.

She saw the worry on Den's face, who was wearing her coat even though she definitely looked like she was in a frenzy to go here. Yes, Den was taking her residency on this hospital. Vic was behind her looking just as frenzied and worried.

She stepped towards Den and took her hands.

"Den, please," she begged with tears on her eyes. "They wouldn't let me see my wife."

"Doctora Lazaro, the hospital policy says-"

"They are legally married, Nurse Lopez. I was a witness and the maid of honor on that wedding. Let her in," Den said commandingly.
