Wizards are fu*king useless

So. The fidelius charm. The one that kept James and Lily safe. The only reason that James and Lily made Peter the Secret Keeper was because they didn't want to put Sirius in danger. They thought if they made Sirius the Secret Keeper, it would be obvious and Voldemort would go after him. My question is this:

Why didn't they put the fidelius charm on Sirius, make James Sirius's Secret Keeper, put the fidelius charm on James and Lily, and make Sirius James and Lily's Secret Keeper?

Does that make sense? Then, no one would have been in danger, and James and Lily wouldn't have died.

Just another reason why wizards are fu*king useless.
