Warning!! Biblical!! (In a way)

"Jack!" Mark called.

"Mark! Guys, I have really bad news. Remember how Sam had weeks to live right?" I began.

"Yeah...?" Sky said.

"Well, the doctors said that there was a quote 'minor calculation error' &quote. Well that 'minor' error means weeks has been days all along." I told them.

"No..." Mark said.

Mark's point of view

I sat down next to Jack. The other four sat next to me. How the heck did they miscalculate that, I thought. Days?!?!? They're so STUPID!!

I got up and went over to the bathroom. I didn't need to use the restroom, but I needed to cry. Cry for Sam. Cry for my friends. Cry because I'm losing the girl I love most...

I locked the bathroom door and sat down on the toilet seat. I covered my face and let it out. I didn't want anyone to see me when I'm weak.

"Why her," I said to myself. "Why not me? Why Sam? Lord, if you can hear me, take me instead of Sam."

Jack's point of view

"Lord, if you can hear me," I mumbled. "Take me instead of Sam."

Narrator's point of view

Jack and Mark had said the same thing at the same time. The Lord had heard their cries and sobs, their prayers and demands, and realized how much they care for Sam. He decided to do something to save Sam from her terrible fate. But now was not the time.
