Kara impatiently drummed her long fingernails against her black wooden desk. She looked around her dank room to her clock. 4:30. Etheday has been gone for a day now.
She muttered an angry, Finally!"as her assasistant, Emmet, knocked.
"Sorry I'm late, Ma'am." He said, tipping his hat. Kara sighed, but decided better of killing him.
"What took you so long, Emmet?" She demanded, stepping aside. Emmet cautiously entered and sat where she pointed.
"Well, Drake of the werewolves wanted me to deliver this message." He shakily handed her the scroll, and adjusted his brown collar nervously as his master read the letter.
Kara smiled evily and she placed the scroll in a drawer.
"Good. The idiot came to his senses and realized he should help me. Good." She rose and stared out the small window in the west wall.
"Emmet," she muttered, so quietly he had to strain to hear what she was saying. "Get her back here. I want to kill her myself." Emmet nodded and she quickly spun around.
"Leave me." She ordered, her eyes icy. She laughed evily a relieved Emmet closed the door behind him. She would kill Etheday if it was the last thing she did.
