The Red Wolf

Ch 4

Fianna:

I kept passing out and coming to, while the guards helped me walk back to the northern pack.

As we entered the pack borders i saw all different types of people interacting with each other. Elders talking, children playing ball, teens pulling pranks. That's when a high pitched scream caught my attention. I quickly turned and saw a little girl with dark brown hair and matching eyes in a little pink dress round the corner of the house, being chased by another boy that looked about her age with blond hair and blue eyes. Reminds me of me and Lucas as kids.

"This way" One of the guards said roughly pushing me towards what looked like a metal shed. He opened the door and i saw a staircase. As I was shoved down, i concluded that these were the cells, or prison if you will. As they opened one of the doors they threw me in like I was a ragdoll.

"Mommy" i say opening her bedroom door, and walking over in the darkness to her small bed frame.
"Yes sweetie" she said, sitting up.
"Tell me another story"
"Another story, but sweetie it's late."
"I know but i need to know what happened to the young couple you told me about"
"The happy couple ooh i don't know"
"Pleaseeeeee"
"Okay sit." I jumped on the bed excitedly.
"Where should i start"
"The beginning!" I shouted bouncing up and down.
"Okay, long ago there was a wolf village, buzzing happily as always, and in that village there was a woman in a warm hut, giving birth-"
"Whats giving birth momma" I asked
"You know when you were in my stomach"
"Yes"
"Well when you came out of my stomach"
"Ohhh, okay keep going!"
"Okay so as her beautiful baby girl was born she looked into her little green eyes and named her-"
"Oh can we name her Fianna please"
"Alright alright, so as she named her little girl Fianna the room went dark, then the women and the baby were greeted by an evil sounding voice. 'That baby is valuable, don't let the wrong people get their hands on her' . Then the voice was gone and the women sat there scared. But eventually forgot and lived happily for a few years with her husband and child. Then do you know what happened?"
"What What tell me!"
"BOOM"
"AHH!" i scream ducking under the covers.
"A bomb was dropped onto the village on day," She said shaking the bed like she always did when she told this story, it was my favorite.
"Oh no!" I said into the pillow.
"Big ships had docked themselves at the village's beach, bigger than anyone had ever seen. War began and the Fianna's father had to leave because he was forced to go into combat."
"NO!"
"Yes, and that same day the father passed, because he was caught of guard and slaughtered. But the wife soon fell in love again with an amazingly handsome alpha, who was also"
"Her second chance mate!" i squealed.
"Yes, her second chance mate." She said as her eyes filled with love. "They lived on, with the young Fianna who didn't remember her real father, not only to seek revenge on the village that forced her previous husband into battle, but also her new mates unknown reason."
"And when they defeated the village, Fianna came of age and became the first female alpha."
"Yay! Tell me more!" i shouted.
"More? Not tonight sweetheart, it's past your bedtime."
"Aww, but can i sleep with you? Pleaseee?"
"Of course you can baby"

I heard footsteps coming down the staircase from across the cell. Out of fear i started to back up until i hit the cold wet stone of the wall. i couldn't go anywhere. The footsteps came closer and closer, so close i couldn't tell the difference from the heavy footsteps and the constant pounding of my heart. They were really close now and i closed my eyes. i heard the person stop in front of my cell.
"I can't believe it" instantly i open my eyes to meet the brown hazel ones that belonged to Elza.
"Elza i'm...i'm so sorry" I said breaking out into a sob while looking down.
"What happened."
"I...I don't know"
"What I'm asking is what happened to make you do all those things."
"Elzas you don't get it, those alphas destroyed my pack, they are all evil, cruel, and have no mercy. I watched as an alpha tore apart my mother and fed her to his beta! Do you not know how traumatizing that is!"
"Fia calm-"
"Don't call me Fia!"
"Okay...Fianna you need to calm down, i'm not going to have an argument with you." She said sternly
"Okay....I'm sorry" I sighed in defeat, she was right. There's no point in fighting.
"Who gave you the idea to... Burn down all those packs."
"My mother" i said staring hole into her eyes with my cold lifeless ones.
 After she left, i sat there, cold and alone, it reminded me when i was always alone as a child, my mother said my real father ran away when i was born, it explains why my mom was only 16 years older than me.
In the cell i stood up and looked around. There was a giant crack in the ceiling, with a pipe that ran through it, i jumped and easily touched it. Looking to the ground, i found a tiny damp piece of chalk. I grabbed it and drew a small line in the middle on the room, then i split it in half, and split it in half again. So i ended up drawing a line split into three, almost equal, sections on the floor. Like a basketball court, half court line, and the two free-throw lines. When i was done i walked over to the crack on the ceiling and jumped up to grab the bar. Hanging there i tucked the chalk away into a small crevice in the wall.
