Flashback
"mommy why is Grandpa in that small bed." My three year old self asked, as we were in a church listening to the priest said nonsense. That's what is sounded like to me anyways. We stood in the back of the church by the small exit.
"Sweetie.." She knelt down to my size and looked me straight into my eyes, her blue ones bright as can be "..Grandpa has gone away for a while."
"Gone where"
"Well..." She looked up and then back to me. "Come here" She swung me up into her arms and placed me on her hip. She looked back at Grandpa with sad eyes, "Goodbye dad, i will always remember you." She turned to me and even at 3 i could tell that the smile she put on for me was fake. She quietly opened the exit door and stepped outside to the sunny day.
"Do you see that bright blue sky up there."
"Yes"
"Well grandpa is up there, along with dad and grandma, but you don't remember her, she died when you were born."
"Does this mean grandpa died to?"
"Yes my smart little girl, grandpa passed away."
"Are we ever going to die?" I said not fully, understanding what i meant.
"Yes pumpkin, but not soon, your going to grow up and have a mate and live long years."
"What about you?"
"Oh honey lets talk about this another time."
"Okay but, um, can we see grandpa one last time."
"Of course." She smiled and this time i knew it was true.

I watched as her figure threw out any evidence of the destruction she's caused from her duffle bag.
'Stop thinking like that' My inner wolf yelled.
'What now?' i asked.
'You and me both know, there's more to her story than what she says,'
'Yes.... And?'
'we need to figure it out'
'Why?' said getting frustrated.
'never mind. Your to stubborn.'
"Luke how much stuff am i aloud to bring?"
"One duffle, that's it."
"What about the box." she asked looking worried.
"A duffle and the box." I said trying not to give to much leeway.
She started shuffling around throwing cloths into her bag. She put about four shirts and 5 pairs of pants. A couple dresses and some flats with Converse. When she was about to zip up the bag, it looked as if she remembered something and she made her way over to a shadow box that hung on the wall, but it has black construction paper taped to the glass so you couldn't see what was inside it. Then I think she pulled out a teddy bear but she quickly shoved it into her bag, so I couldn't be sure.
"Alright I'm ready." She said while looking around the room. "Wait!" She said rushing over to her bed side. She pulled out a necklace, that as a heart locket. "Lets go." She said picking up the box and trying to carry the duffle, but soon fell.
I bent down and held my hand out. "You going to stay down there and just stare at my hand like an idiot?" She flashed me an embarrassed grin and stood up. I grabbed her duffle while she grabbed her box.
"Alright come on." I said. She started walking slow, i guess it must be hard for her, saying good-bye to the only home she really had,m. I'm not sure about her old pack because she doesn't open up all that much. But i can't blame her.

We walked out of the house and turned around.
"I'm leaving again mom" i whispered aloud. "Hope next time i move, it's in with you somewhere in the sky."
"Ahem" I turned around and saw Luke with the door of the back seat open and i shoved all my stuff in it, then climbed in myself. He shut the door and walked over to the drivers seat where he got in and sat diagonal from me. I rested my head on the window and tried to fill my head with thoughts other than Luke.Flashback
I sat in the giant window seat in my mothers room just staring out at the world. I watched as the group of other kids all hung out with Lucas. I smiled to my self knowing he's having a good time. He always wants me to hang out with him and his friends but i always say no because it's his time, I'm not a pup anymore so he doesn't need to act like my big brother and always make sure that I'm safe.
I looked over at the horizon and saw rain clouds coming closer. Then i felt a pair of eyes on me, i looked down and saw that Lucas was looking up at me through the window.
Boom
Thunder cracked through the sky and all of Lucas's friends scattered except Lucas himself. He kept looking at me, he waved for me to come down. In a flash i was off the window bench and out the door with my yellow rain coat.
