I woke up to a blinding light creeping through the window. I groaned and shoved my pillow over my head in desperate need for it to be dark again. No matter what I did, there was still that little bit of light that managed to get under my pillow. I groaned again, heavier this time, and threw the pillow off of the bed, deciding to just get up now.
"Oh hey sweet heart, I was just about to wake you up." Demi said sweetly, coming into the room.
"Yeah I woke up because I saw the light from the window." I replied back to her, trying my best not to sound rude.
"Oh I'm sorry about that. Today while we're out we can get you curtains so that that won't happen again."
"Thank you." I smiled at her.
"Well we have breakfast on the table if you would like to come eat." just the sound of that made my stomach churn in disgust. I put on a fake and forced smile just so she doesn't get suspicious.
"Alright. I'll be down in a minute." And with that, she walked out. I got out of bed to use the restroom when realization hit me. I don't have my blades. I left them back at my house when that certain incident happened and they totally slipped my mind to bring them.
It's okay. I don't need them. My life is finally starting to look up and I have Demi now. I don't need them.
After I finished using the bathroom, I washed my hands and went downstairs only to see a whole table full of breakfast food awaiting my presence. I had to force down my throw up that was threatening to come up at any moment.
"Come sit." Demi commanded, nicely.
"Hi Kendall!" Gracie yelled excitedly. I really don't understand how this little girl can be so hyper.
"Gracie you know we don't yell in this house." Demi told her sternly, narrowing her eyes at her.
"Sorry. Hi Kendall." That time she said it in a whisper, almost as if she was making fun of Demi because of her rules. I saw Demi just roll her eyes and get back to eating.
"Hi Gracie. Did you sleep well?" I asked her as I was sitting down.
"I slept fantastically. I had a dweam that a pwincess was stuck in a castle way WAY up top and a dragon was coming after her, but then the hewo, which is Prince Charming, came to save her and they bofe got out safewe and lived happwe ever after." We all laughed at the table because of how hyper and energetic she was this early in the morning.
"No way! I had that dream too!" I said, trying to match up to her level of excitement, but failing miserably.
"Nu-uh! That's so cool!" And then she went back to stuffing her face with the food of pure disgust like nothing ever happened.
I looked at all the food in front of me. I know I have to eat this, but just the looks of it makes me want to puke my guts up, but I don't want to make Demi suspicious so I've got to eat at least some.
"Kendall, honey, are you going to eat?" I didn't realize how long I was spaced out but I guess it was a decent amount of time.
"Oh yeah, sorry. Just thinking." I said, then grabbed my plate and started putting eggs and pancakes on it.
"What are you thinking about?" How did I know that question was going to come up?
"Nothing." I said, almost too immediately. Demi gave me a weird look but didn't say anything, and went back to eating. After a little while of (them) eating, nick came down the stairs, tiredly, while yawning and stretching his arms out.
"Morning baby. I made breakfast. Come eat." It was at that time that he opened his eyes for the first time this morning.
"You're the best, you know that?" Nick said, going over to Demi and kissing her, too long might I add.
"Careful, kids in the room." I snickered, as did Gracie, as they pulled away abruptly, with their cheeks flushing red.
"Hey Kendall." He said, coming over to hug me. I instinctively tensed as soon as he touched me, but quickly relaxed right after.
"Hey sweet heart." He then said to Gracie, kissing her on the forehead. I couldn't help but feel some sort of jealousy or sadness towards that. My father hasn't done that in years, ever since he started getting abusive. I guess Demi noticed the sudden change in my mood because she called my name.
"Kendall, you ok there?" God I hate when she asks questions.
"Yeah I'm fine." I forced a smile, even though I'm dying inside.
         "Ok... if you're sure,"
"I'm sure, thank you for asking." I smiled, once again.
"Okay good. Now get back to eating. I have not seen you eat at all since you've been down here."
  Damn.

God I hate shopping. Just looking around and seeing all these preppy little bitches being spoiled by their mom grosses me the fuck out.
"Okay. We can go to any of the stores in here and you can get whatever the hell you want. Go crazy." She obviously doesn't really know me.
     "I don't really think that's necessary, Demi. I don't need a lot of things."
"have you seen your closest and your room? You need a lot more than a lot. Now, let get shopping!"  She yelled in a childish manner. I swear sometimes I think I'm the adult here.
