I look at Taylor who is smiling while sitting on his couch. He is surrounded by yarn and has two knitting needles in his hands.
"That was rude. She was probably drunk," he shrugs.
"What makes her think that I'm not a career woman! I managed a department with ten guys and I own a business!" I say and go back to pacing his living room.
"Her fault for not asking," Taylor says while pointing at me with a needle.
"And the travel! I have seen places,"
"You have, but it wouldn't hurt to travel a bit more. Who knows? You might come across some cool toys,"
"I just don't have that kind of money. Galaxy Barn does well but it's not enough for expensive trips. Okay, let's go somewhere affordable after Christmas. We can do a road trip and stay in a lodge,"
"That is if you can find anything that isn't booked already. Plus finding a place that has proper facilities for me is difficult. They have at the most two adapted cabins,"
"I will try anyway. And sexy! I can be sexy!"
Taylor starts laughing and snorts.
"You are cute and even adorable. Sexy is a different thing," he says with a nod to my clothes.
The pink Ghostbusters t-shirt has seen better days and my jeans were dark blue a long time ago.

"Sexiness is a state of mind!" I shout. "Plus you replied 'wow' to my photo with the red dress,"
"Yeah. I didn't know that you cleaned up so well," he chuckles.
"You... are... an... ass!" I say, attacking him with a cushion.
"You shouldn't have given him the doll. I know how special it was for you," he says after recovering from the laughter.
"I took it from the pile of gifts. She opened it and there was no emotion. They are hard to find and if Keon was right, she should have made a dance when reunited with something she supposedly missed so much,"
"You are right. But you haven't answered my question. Why were you so soft with him? I know you have a big mouth when you are pissed,"
"Because he is in love," I sigh. "When Keon saw Lara his face brightened. Like if he had finally found the missing piece. It's not that I didn't want to yell at him, but you can't compete with love like that,"
Of course I was upset. But how can I be mad at the person that finds what I also want in my life.
"What are you going to make anyway?" I say, plopping myself on the couch next to him.
"A new beanie. My current one lost its shape. I made it when I learned to knit and is full of mistakes. If I have enough yarn left I might make a scarf,"
