Crashing Waves and Burning Fire

Roses smell like bathtubs
As I lay and cry and think
Deep amongst the bubbles
Are the legs and love and feet

Candles taste like kisses
They're hot and burn my lips
They're crisp like summer apples
And they linger like his stench

Roses in the garden
And candles in the trees
Create fires in the oceans
And devestation in the dream

The ocean was my love for you
Vast and whole and full
But you drank it down like a shot
And sent the waves askew

Dreams look like orphans
They stare with gleaming eyes
They look like those you gave me
When I believed all of your lies

Dreams are in the water
That floods into the ocean
And opens up like I did
To you and into the open

Greed feels like velvet
It's soft and pure and fulfilling
It tingles on your fingers
But it suffocates your being

But love is like a pale moon
It's gorgeous and appealing
But it is also in the night
It's cold and it's deceiving

Roses in the garden
Candles in the trees
Dreams are in the water
And it's flooding this damned scene

We were blazing colors
We were afire
But you washed it all away
With hopeless desire

Destruction in the garden
Devestation in the trees
Drowning in the water
That's as vast as the sea
