"How many goddamn plates have you broken, huh!? How many deliveries have you fucked up!?"

"I-I'm sorry, I can--"

"Agh, enough excuses! You've worked here too long to keep doing this, just get out!"

Youngjae's head was filled with rage that he didn't know if he had any right to feel. Sitting on the small couch he bought, he stared out the window, contemplating if he should scream or stay quiet, so as to not wake up the neighbours. Not but a minute later, his emotions got the best of him, and he ruffled his hair while letting out a roar that shook the thin walls.

He stood himself up, frustratedly pacing around the small space that made his living room. He was thinking about the mess he'd gotten himself into, and how he was going to get past it. For the first two months, he had job interviews every other day, being rejected by all of them, until he was finally accepted. He'd landed a job in a restaurant called Farview, delivering food and cleaning up the dishes left by hungry customers.

For a week, he'd gotten the hang of it, until he slipped on a small puddle of cooking oil and dropped a bowl. His boss let that one slide, since he was relatively new. Soon, however, he ended up carrying 4 in each hand, and another slid off the top. That was his first warning. Eventually, he became so clumsy, with his co-workers treating him like the underdog, and his natural tendencies, that he'd broken many more – too many to be overlooked.

With the third month passing, and the fourth quickly approaching, he wondered how he would be able to pay the rent if he lost his job. Time passed far too quickly, and the night he was supposed to pay, his landlord told him he had one week to pay for his rent, or he'd be thrown out. It didn't help him that the old guy had a bit of a temper issue.

"Jinyoung, I just got kicked out!" Youngjae told his friend over the phone. He was walking on the street, away from the bed and couch that had been left on the sidewalk. The midday air was cold in his face as he followed the path his legs walked.

"What the hell? What happened?"

"I had a job, I lost it, I couldn't pay the rent, and my dickhead of a landlord wouldn't let me stay! What the fuck am I gonna do!?"

"Well, hey, calm down. Panicking isn't gonna get you anywhere." There was a silence that followed, and Youngjae cracked his neck to relieve his growing headache. "Listen, my class is starting, but I'll think of something, okay?"

Youngjae sighed. "Alright."

"Just walk around for a little bit. I'll call you later." With that, Jinyoung hung up, and Youngjae was left on his own to figure out what to do for the time being. Until nightfall, he walked around, gradually becoming more and more out of breath. When he stopped at a sandwich hut to get some food, he felt his phone vibrating in his pocket.

"Well it's about fucking time you called me again," he snapped, taking a huge bite out of his sandwich.

"Where are you?"

"Uh... I don't know, some sandwich place. It's not far from the university, I think."

"Oh, I know where you're talking about. I'll meet you there in 5 minutes."

"Okay." Youngjae hung up the phone, slowly taking it away from his face. He pressed the back of his wrist against his eye, hoping that he would be less lightheaded after eating. The only thing going through his head was scenario after scenario, quickly playing, then playing the next. Soon enough, he noticed that his sandwich was gone when he tried to take another a bite and nothing was there. He pouted at the crumbs that were left on his plate, and rested his hand under his chin.

An unnoticeable five minutes passed before Jinyoung walked through the door, startling Youngjae with the sudden sound of bells. Jinyoung started gathering Youngjae's bags, the younger's head spinning in confusion. "Youngjae, remember when we used to climb rocks in the park?"

"What the hell?" He furrowed his brows, puzzled with the random question. "Of course I do, but what does that have to do with anything?" Jinyoung nodded while he exited, and Youngjae followed behind, running after his friend who was walking much faster.

"Well, I'm not gonna let you be homeless, so you're gonna sneak into the university, okay?" Youngjae stopped walking to process what he just heard, and Jinyoung soon copied, looking back at him. "Come on!"

"What do you mean, 'Sneak in'? How the fuck am I gonna do that, don't they have security?" he asked, catching up with Jinyoung's fast pace. "You don't think they're gonna see me sneaking in?"

"There's a pipe right outside my window that you're gonna climb. I have two beds and no roommate, but I have a friend who's gonna create a distraction so the guard won't see you--"

"There aren't any cameras outside?"

"What kind of university doesn't have outdoor cameras? They're only in the front, though, since they have people in the back, where the pipe is."

Youngjae could hardly take in all of the information that was being thrown at him. His brain was having trouble keeping up, especially since the whole thing seemed so sudden. He shook his head and asked, "Wait, so... What am I doing?"

"Okay, when we get there, I'll show you which window it is, and go inside with your stuff. Jackson will distract the security guard, and you'll climb up the pipe and into the room. I guess we'll just have to keep you hidden, somehow. Hell, you might even blend in."

"Do you think this is actually gonna work? I'll get found out eventually!"

"Well, this is the plan for now, alright? Now, hurry up. It's curfew soon."
