SLAM.

Just like that, it felt like winter break never happened when Jaebum's loud door slamming woke Youngjae up so abruptly, but it had already been a week. It was back to the bustle of school for Jaebum and Jinyoung, but Youngjae was in a bit of a middle ground. He still had to move out of the dorm and into another apartment of his own.

While there were plans to help him out as soon as possible, Youngjae was given a to-do list of his own. First was to go buy boxes for his stuff. "Oh, god..." he groaned, realizing how tiring this would all be.

Eventually, he pushed himself out of bed, not bothering to shower or fix his hair. He threw on some sweats and Jaebum's—his—leather jacket before leaving. At that point, Youngjae hadn't even seen the apartment yet. Having the key freaked him out enough.

"Good morning, sir!" said the woman behind the counter at the small post shop.

"Oh- hi," Youngjae smiled back. "Where do you have boxes?"

"I actually have some right here for ya! What size do you need?"

"Jesus, how many did you buy?" Jinyoung asked, staring at the pile of cardboard leaning against the wall.

"She gave me a discount!!" Youngjae answered desperately. "I paid 11000 less for 10 more boxes, she made me do it!" While Youngjae was biting his nails, his friend laughed.

"It's alright, Jaebum'll need these anyway."

"What good will it do you to have boxes taking up space?" Youngjae sat up on the bed, eyes wide in hopes for an answer that wasn't sarcastic.

"I doubt he'd wait until the end of the year... He just wants to be with his Youngjae~~~"

"Ai- Really..." Jinyoung's face met a pillow with a whack, and they both laughed. Of course it was like Jinyoung to tease him, though.

"Jackson's free tomorrow, so he's gonna help you, alright?"

"Hm!"

With that, Youngjae went back to playing games on his phone, and Jinyoung studied for his classes the next day. Earbuds in, music playing loud enough that the both of them could hear it, the two of them enjoyed the silent company when things were hectic.

Exams would come soon, along with stress and more stress. Stress would come from another apartment Youngjae would move into, and stress would come from looking for a job to keep himself upright. Even while pre-exam-anxiety only began to roam the halls and seep into the dorm, the lo-fi from Jinyoung's phone made them worry less.

And when Jaebum walked in, immediately making a bee-line for Youngjae, he knew he'd be okay.
