One day, Riolu made special plans for the pair. It had been three weeks since the four had first arrived at the conservatory, and they hadn't gotten out in that time. Riolu decided that they would spend the day outside and take in the sights.

"Hey, Fennekin? How would you like to go outside and take a look around? There's a lot to see out there- I think we should go."
Riolu told her.
"Okay. Let's go."
Fennekin replied.

The two left the Pokemon centre and stepped out into the sunny streets. The streets were bustling with people and Pokemon, with shops lining them. There were colourful posters in the Windows, and the sun overhead shone brightly, keeping the streets warm in the early hours of the day.

The two began to walk along the street, and Fennekin was really excited. It was all new to her- she was in a new place in her mind.
"Everything is so pretty! I've never seen anything like it!"
"It's all so familiar. Then again, we've been gone for three weeks. Why shouldn't it be?"
Riolu said to himself.
"Familiar? I've never been here before, have I?"
Riolu didn't feel like explaining it now, so he told her he'd explain later.

The two continued through the streets, stopping to look inside of shop windows and after a little while, they took a break in a field with lush green grass, much like the conservatory's. They looked over the horizon as they talked about what they had seen.
"I liked the one near the bottom of the last street we looked at. The posters looked really good to me."
Fennekin said.
"They were quite good looking. I think the one next to it was as well."
"You're right. I liked them too."

The pair got up and went to look out at the ocean from the pier. Along with all of the ships, the wide open body of water was a breath taking sight. The clarity of the water was amazing, and watching the water type Pokemon swim under the water's surface was very interesting.
"They look so happy. And there are so many."
Fennekin said, watching the water type Pokemon go.
"Yeah, they do look really happy."
He remembered the times he shared with Fennekin and how happy he'd been then. He wondered if he'd be that happy again.

They pair soon continued on their journey through town, looking around at points of interest. They saw a lot of other Pokemon with their trainers, training for battles, walking alongside them, and even one trying on different clothes with their trainer. Riolu wondered why a Pokemon would ever want to spend their lives with humans when they were just as happy on their own.

When the two went back to the Pokemon centre, it was getting a little late. Some of the younger Pokemon had already gone to sleep, and the conservatory was already dark. Riolu felt saddened when they returned as he knew Fennekin would remember nothing when they woke up the next morning. When the two entered the building, nurse joy was waiting by the entrance.
"There you are. I've been working on a cure for Fennekin's problem, and I believe I'm getting close to finishing it. It shouldn't take much longer."
She told Riolu. He smiled.
"I thought you'd like to hear that. I also have something I think you'll like."
She showed Riolu a camera.
"You could use this to take pictures of important events so Fennekin may remember them. It's worth a try."
Nurse joy called Fennekin over, and took a picture of them both together.
When Riolu looked at the picture, he shed a tear. He loved it. Fennekin looked beautiful, and she had the most innocent smile on her face to go with it. He looked at the picture and remembered why he loved her. She was adorable to him, and that's what mattered.

Riolu carried the camera around with him, and he could hardly wait to use it again. The moments that really mattered now wouldn't be forgotten so easily, and Riolu liked the sound of that. He slept soundly that night, not letting the camera leave his sight during the day, as it was a way of letting Fennekin remember the important things. That was the most important thing to Riolu, and he wouldn't let anything or anyone ruin that for them.
