I woke up early the next day just to hear a beautiful voice singing. It's my mom, she loves to sing while she's playing the piano every sunday morning. She plays at the church too.

I get up and went to my bathroom. I brush my teeth, rinse my face with a cold water and pulled my hair in a ponytail. My mom smiled as she saw me walking to her and I kissed her temple. I sit at the couch beside the piano just looking at her while she's playing.

My mom is a Teacher, she said she love kids that's why she took it as her profession. She's a very sweet mother to me and a lovingly wife.

"Good morning, Stella" after she's done playing

"Good morning, mom"

"What's the time when you went home last night ?"

"11: ... 30? I guess. I'm sorry I was late 30 minutes."

"I'm not telling you it's okay because its not. Be responsible next time and when your papa say's 11 you go home at 11. No but's. No excuse."

"I know mom, I won't do it again. Is dad upset last night?"

"He's just worried. But we trusted Nikki as much as you trusted her and we trust you the most." I smile at her. Talking about trust

"Thank you mom" and then I hug her, I just felt like doing it, maybe because of last night. I lied to them big time.

"Okay.. You prepare now. We need to get to the church early today." I nod and went to my room

After we had breakfast together we rode in on my father's pick up truck. I seat in the back seat along with the small instruments. They talked about the business my dad own and something like selling it to start a new one. I'm not sure. I get my phone from my bag and texted Nikki, she's probably still sleeping right now.

I was about to returned my phone when it buzz. I open the message without looking who it was thinking it was Nikki.

'Good morning, bella'

I stare at my phone not knowing what to do. How did he get my number? From Nikki for sure. You know, sometimes I wonder why did she became my best friend but not that I complain tho. I typed back a good morning too. And I shove my phone back to my bag. 30 minutes and we arrived at the church. Everyone says good morning.

My father talked about God and how He saves Us. I wonder what God thinks of me now when I lied to my family. I look around the church.. It's kinda lively today. The church is always alive but more alive today because of the Christmas decoration. It's almost Christmas.

My mom got up and played the piano for us and the children choirs sang together with her. I used to sing when i was a little girl but with not a beautiful voice.

My father preach a lot of gospel to us. When he thanks everyone for coming and listening to his preach I know that his done. We sang one last time and we are done for today. My mom and dad are busy talking with the other important guest so I walk outside and sat at one of the benches. I looked at my phone and two messages on my screen. One from Nikki and one from him.

'Hey, Good morning. Are you still in church right now?'

'Yes, why?' I texted back. I open my last message and I can't help but smile.

'Have a nice day stella. I wish i can see you today.' It's from Erick

'I can't.. School tomorrow'
Part of me wants to see him too.

"Stella, you ready?" My dad said. I haven't noticed them getting out.

"Yeah." I get up and walked to them.

Once we we're inside the car my dad talked to me about school. We discuss a little about it and what would I do after graduation. I really wanted to work in a big company. With my name on the table.

When we arrived home Nikki's already there waiting outside.

"Good morning Mr. and Mrs. Riggs." My mom hug her and dad did the same

"Good morning, dear. How are you?"

"I'm good Mrs. Riggs."

"That's good. Why don't you come inside for a snack?"

"It's fine. I already ate before I leave the house."

My mom nod and went inside the house after with my dad. We sat on one of the benches in our front porch. She keep talking about Brooke and how sweet he is.

"Wait, he's in your house last night?"

"Oops, did I said that?" I stared at her knowingly.

"Yeah.. He a.. Visit me."

"In the middle of the night." I said flatly

"What?! You're looking at me like I stole your Pancakes."

"You did stole my pancakes.. So, you go home now and I want you to rest. You look like... " I hold my chin and eyed her up and down.

She got up laughing and kissed me in the chicks.

"Yeah. I know, I looked like shit."

And then the door open harshly. It's my dad.

"Oh my God. Sir, I am so sorry. I didn't mean that. I won't say it again. I'm sorry again. I need to go sir." She looked at me and I mouthed 'bye'. I want to laugh at her. She hurried to her car and drive away.

My dad remove his eyeglass and look at me. I went to him laughing a little and hug his arms.

"She said sorry dad.. " And laugh. I can't help it.

My dad understand how youth express their feeling by saying such language. He completely understand. But he doesn't allow me to say it. Not that I would like to say such things anyways.
