War of the Thrones: The Only Sister Left

Chapter Seventeen

"Are you hungry?" Eddie asks me breaking the awkward silence between us.

"Sure, I can eat," I say not even able to look at him.

He then pulls into the parking lot of a Burger King. We both get out of the car and go inside. Eddie goes and sits in a table that's next to a window. I guess this is the table that we're sitting at then.  

Once I sit down Eddie gets up and tells me that he'll go order the food. My response is just a simple smile and a nod.

About three minutes later he comes back with a tray filled with food. Suddenly I don't feel that hungry anymore, so I just eat some fries and a coke.

I start to look out of the window that's on my right when all of a sudden Eddie asks,"hey, do you know that guy?"

I turn around and see a guy staring at me. "No, I don't know him,"I say.

"Oh really,"Eddie says,"because he's been staring at you for the past five minutes."

Right after Eddie says this, the stranger gets up and walks towards me. "Are you Sarah?" he asks.

"Um...yes,"I say sounding very confused.

"Can I talk to you outside for a minute?"the stranger asks me.

"Um...sure,"I say while getting up and leaving Eddie with a worried look on his face.

Once the stranger and I get outside he says,"Sarah it is so nice to meet you!"

"Um sorry I don't want to be rude, but who the heck are you??" I ask.

"Oh sorry, my name is Mathew," he says while shaking my hand.

"Mathew....why does that name sound so familiar?"

"Oh I'm Piper's boyfriend."

"Piper's boyfriend?!"

"Yeah, remember when Piper was telling you about how she was going to New York for college and that she was going to stay with her Aunt's friend, And then she started bragging to you about how her Aunt's friend has this really good looking son?"

"Oh yeah, you're Mathew!"

"Yep."

"So when did you start dating Piper?" I ask him.

"A couple of weeks ago," Mathew says with a huge smile on his face.

"Oh.....wait, aren't you supposed to be in New York right now?" I ask sounding even more confused.

"No, me and a couple of my friends decided to fly over here for spring break."

"Oh.....wait, is Piper with you??"

"No, but she did ask me if I ever saw you here that I would ask you how you're doing."

"I'm doing fine, but please don't tell her that you saw me here."

"Why??"

"Because I'm just going through some stuff right now and....."

"Aw, I get it, you need your privacy."

"Exactly!!"

"But you do know that Piper is really, really, really worried about you right?"

"Yeah I know that, but for her own good please don't tell her you saw me here."

"Okay, got it...I won't tell her....I promise."

Mathew is about to go back inside when I say,"oh and if you ever hurt Piper I will have to hunt you down and kill you in your sleep!"

"Okay, I got that too," he says while laughing and going back inside.

Once I go back inside I go and sit down next to Eddie who still has a worried look on his face.

"Who was that?" he asks me.

"Just a friend," I say looking out the window.

"Of course," he says quietly.

"Sarah I need to tell you something," Eddie suddenly says sort of loudly.

"Okay, what is it?" I ask him still looking out of the window.

"I.....I want to apologize," he says while looking down at the table.

"Apologize for what?" I ask actually looking at him this time.

"For what happened earlier, you know with the shower thing."

"Eddie you don't have to apologize for that."

"YES I DO...now can you please just let me speak?"

"Okay."

"I'm sorry...for everything. I shouldn't of got up all into your business like that and you were right...I shouldn't of tried to force you into telling me things. Will you ever forgive me?"

"Eddie of course I will forgive you! You were only worried about me, that's what people do, they worry about people that they care about."

"Well I do care about you," Eddie says while holding my hand and making me blush.

"So...we're good?" he asks.

"Yeah...we're good," I say not able to take my eyes off of him.
