(Mitch's POV)

He lay on top of me, laughing like a hyena. Meanwhile, I was holding my eye. Man, those things hurt. All of a sudden, he stopped laughing. He stared into my eyes, and so did I. It was hard not to get lost in them. They were so beautiful. His face was so gorgeous too. His nose was big, but that's what makes him special. He is so... Perfect. He leaned in closer to my face. What was he doing?! Was he trying to... Kiss me? No, he likes girls. I strangely realized that I was leaning in too. I quickly stopped myself. I cleared my throat awkwardly. He looked away, blushing like crazy. I guess I was too.

" I'll get you next time, biggums. And I'll bring out the big guns too!" I stated, trying to forget about what just happened between us.

*beep beep* (phone sound I guess. Don't judge me!)

My phone started ringing (really now?) and I notices that it was from my sister Kayleigh (idk if that is his irl sisters name but this is not real life! Shush. "So many random comments you are making." I know. "You should stop" I know. Okay now back to the stupid FANFICTION)

I got up off of the floor and answered it. I haven't talked to her in a long time, so this must be important.

(Jerome's POV)

Was he leaning in too? Was he going to kiss me? No, he couldn't have been. I wanted to kiss him so bad. But he can't like me. Right? It was just am accident. He didn't want to kiss me. His phone started to ring (always so observant) and I tried to pretend that I wasn't listening. But I was. Was it a girlfriend? Was it his mom? Was it Adam? Oh my God, did he see us almost kiss? He isn't even here! Mitch started talking, and I shut up.

"Hi Kayleigh! I haven't heard from you in a while! How are you?" She responded, but I obviously can't hear.

"Wait, what happened?! Are you messing with me?" I could hear her sobbing. Mitch had tears in his eyes. He became pale all of a sudden.

"I'm coming right now. It's going to be alright. Don't worry. I love you Kayleigh." She said something back, and he hung up. Mitch stared at his phone. He fell to the ground, his back against the wall. I knew that Kayleigh was his sister. I hung out with her before. She was such a sweet girl. I knelt down to Mitch. I almost never saw him cry before. He was always so strong.

"Are you okay, Mitch?"

"I-I- I have to go to Canada." His voice shakes, and he trembled with fear.

"What happened?" I asked with concern.

"It's my m-mom and dad..." He put his face in his knees. He started sobbing. I hated seeing him like this.

"I'll go with you." He looked up at me, and smiled slightly.

"T-thanks, biggums." He got up and went into his room. I guess he is packing. I should start too. I got up and started to get my things together. Poor Mitch. He doesn't deserve this. Whatever happened, he doesn't deserve it to happen.
