Bella's POV

This day was just not my day. I currently have a pounding headache while trying to pay attention in my math class. Jace left on Friday for a family trip so I haven't gotten to see him. He has suddenly became a top priority in my life and not seeing him everyday has actually taken an affect on me. I also woke up late this morning and didn't get to eat. I was literally so close to falling asleep. When the teacher stopped talking it was a cue for work time so I sighed and lazily looked down at the paper on my desk.

"Hey Bella." A perky voice said in front of me. I look up to see Anna and her two friends sit down across from me. Mind you again that I am not in the mood for anything.

"What do you want?" I groggily say, looking back down at my paper and started doing the first problem.

"So, rumor has it that you and Jace are a thing." She replied to me, knowing her and her annoying ass friends were looking at me with that snotty look."Is that tr-"

"No, now go away please." I say bluntly to them without even giving them a glance.

"You sure? You seem to have him wrapped around your finger for the past month." Her words made me slowly look up at her.

"Are you implying something?" I asked her with an icy stare.

"Oh, me?" She put her hand on her heart, with an innocent look."Oh of course not."

"We know you are lowkey giving him sex just make him stay." One of Anna's friends spoke up.

"Nah, try again." I chuckled at her." We are just friends, nothing else to it." I sighed, leaning back into my chair and crossing my arms.

"That's not what everyone else it saying." Anna said with a smirk.

"Well everyone can stay out of my goddamn business. They are false, Jace and I are friends. If you don't want to believe it, then that's your problem."

"So is your friend Mason single?" Her other friend said, Anna glared at her.

"Lisa!" She spat at her.

"What?" She then replied back innocently, then turning her attention back to me.

"Trust me, you're not his type." I say honestly, they all gave me dirty looks." You asked." I shrugged.

"Anyways," Anna sighed with a smile." Just wanted to know if it was true. I mean hes a cutie, I would have been shocked if he really was dating you."

"Do you have any better insults?" I raised my eyebrows at her. She was about to reply when the bell rang. I rolled my eyes and got my stuff together. I walked out of the class room and waited for Megan since her class was right down the hall. Anna and her friends walked past me and down the hall. Megan appeared in the hallway now too and was walking my way, making sure she gave Anna a glare before approaching me.

"What did she say to you?" Megan asked me, knowing by my facial expression.

"Asked if Jace and I were a thing, then tried telling me that him and I are probably having sex lowkey." I sighed with a fake smile.

"People have asked me the same thing about you guys, I tell them no and to ask you to confirm." She shrugged."It's not true is it?" She whispered.

"No of course not, you know I wouldn't be able to keep it from you that long." I laughed, she then laughed too." So I asked my mom about Malibu, and she said that would be fun." She smiled at me.

"That's great. I still need an answer form Collin. Other than that we are pretty much good to go. Well except where we are going to stay." I shrugged.

"Oh my gosh it's going to be so fun!" She squealed." We will get to be on the beach EVERYDAY, get to eat at cool restaurants, get tan, and oh my hot guys!" She sighed, and wiped her eye like she had a tear.

"Which is weird cause we will have four fairly attractive guys with us." I giggled.

"But they're our friends, it's different. Hey we can make then carry our stuff." She said proudly.

"Yeah, I would like to see you make Mason Calabera carry our stuff around." I shook my head.

"I can be very manipulative." She winked at me, I laugh and we walked to our next class talking about our future trip.

6:48 PM

"Don't worry, I'll be back Wednesday." Jace laughed at me as I complained for probably the hundredth time about how he's not here. I rolled at my eyes at him through our facetime.

"We have to go to Starbucks and get our Kendall and Kylie cups." I told him, he laughed at me again.

"You right, you right." He replied, I also giggled." How long do we plan to stay in Malibu?" Jace asked me.

"I was thinking two weeks or a little more. I think we can manage with all of us pitching in on the money, and only using one car. We are gonna use James moms van so we can fit us and our stuff. It's gonna be really fun, I'm excited." I smiled at him.

"True. You know, it's crazy to think I just moved here a month ago and I am already going on a trip with five of my closest friends. " Jace said.

"Yeah, but it's exciting." I say in a sing song voice.

"I know!" Jace mimicked my excitement, we both laughed.

Jace and I talked for another hour until he had to go and I had to finish my homework. I smile to myself at the thought of the trip to Malibu. I've never done anything like this with my friends before. My homework was done so I put my laptop away and laid down on my bed.

I still haven't made sense of things for this past month. There was something about Jace that made me attached to him. I just don't know what it is. This has gotten people to think we are a thing and doing other things behind the friendship. But it's not like that at all. The genuine friendship we have was something I never thought would happen. I denied him at first, maybe he was just charismatic? Charming? He just knows how to talk to people maybe. I know I feel attracted to him, but it just can't happen.

I feel like a terrible person saying it, but I just couldn't let it happen. And it's to the point where I know I have feelings for him, and I'd do anything to distract me from it. He just constantly ran through my mind. Suddenly I came upon an idea, I sighed knowing it was not a good choice. I picked up my phone and texted Alex. 'This is a terrible idea Bella', I had thought to myself over and over again. He had texted back and said to come to his house. I shoved the little voice in my head out and grabbed my stuff. 'Get over Jace, Get over jace.' I had repeated in my head as I drove to Alex's house.
