"what do you want from me?" i asked J

"i just want our daughter as much as you do" i said throwing my hands in the air

"i don't know Harley, i just don't know if i can handle this right now" he said

"we have two options" he said i shook my head

"we can't i've already told you" i said putting my head in my hands

"she'll be with us forever, she'll grow to a certain age like 21 and then she'll be like us" he said

"she'll grow still?" i asked he nodded

"this is how it works honey, she grows till 21 like i did when my father put me through this and then she'll be grown and like us" he said i nodded

"of course she'll be in pain and there is always that chance of her dying from the chemicals" he said i nodded

"go do it" i said he nodded

"you don't want to come?"  he asked i pointed to my stomach and shook my head

i was laying on the couch when the front door slammed shut.

"puddin?" i called out 

"i was too late" he said looking at the ground i shook my head letting the tears fall

"too late?" i questioned he nodded

"so what now?" i asked leaning over the counter

"i don't know, i can't look at you without thinking of her, she looks exactly like you" he said i looked at him

"i'm sorry?" i said as more of a question 

"i need to leave" he said

"and go where? Huh?" i yelled at him walking

"i'll be back" he said

"i promise" he said

It's been 3 damn weeks since he left and I haven't seen him since.

"Harley" i heard from outside the pitch black dark window

"Harley" i heard once again

I got up holding my belly and sliding on my silk bath robe and slippers and running outside

"Joker?" i asked he came into the porch lighting

"i'm back" he said coming towards me i slapped him

"what the hell?" he asked holding his cheek

"you... YOU LEFT ME" i cried

"i'm in pain Harley!" he said

"and i'm not?" i asked angrily 

"those 3 years you were gone i fed her and held her while she cried i cleaned up her puke when she was sick i was the one to go to the store and buy her medicine i did everything i could as a father, you were gone you had no idea" he said

"it's called being a father, and i do because when you would leave me home alone all night long with Jay while he was a new born while he cried all damn night long, i was the one getting up every hour on the hour with him not you. While you came home drunk I had to take care of you getting you to bed giving you medicine so you could wake up the next morning with no hangover so you could get up and go do business while i stayed home the next day with Jay again!" i said crying

"Ava was the only thing that kept me from leaving" he said

"what do you mean?" i asked

"leaving.. Me?" i asked he nodded
