                                              It was terrible. And now because of it I was alone. Rose was searching for food and gathering prickly fruit from several cacti when an arrow flew past my eyes and into Rose's back.
                          "ROSE!!!" I turned around and without thinking threw a knife at the the attacker's head. I didn't really look to see who it was, let alone cared. I picked up Rose's body and let my tears fall. She looked at me and smiled.
                          "Thanks for everything." she said her eyes fluttering closed while a single tear rolled down her cheek, I could no longer feel her breathing.

                          I stood back watching the hover craft fly away with my only friend, yet another of the million others it's taken away, ruining the lives of their families and loved ones. Like a tornado, smashing everything in its path, the path of survival.
