Chapter 7. The Book of R

"Ok Tesseract, so what's the plan."

"Well Josh, this may seem stupid but first, we are going to go back to the crash site, because the Book of R is somewhere among the wreckage. Once we obtain it, we will call Viper, instructing him to meet us at the Town square, with his Destroyers." Tesseract could see Josh was about to ask a question when he said, "little zombie, tiger mutant things. Quite awful actually. Anyway, from there we will say that we have the Book of R in a briefcase. Instead we will have the Book of R here, untouched and in the briefcase will be a disintegration bomb. That specific bomb will blow up all Sweepers in the 100 metre blast radius. Viper and his Destroyers, will be wiped off the face of the planet. Only leaving Hicks."

Josh took in all the information and nodded with understanding.

"Ok let's go to the crash site now. Before they find the book." Josh exclaimed.

"I was thinking the same thing." Tesseract replied, gesturing Josh to grab his shoulder. As he did he asked,

"Will that actually work?"

"I don't know. My plans never tend to work."

They teleported.

Josh had learned to deal with teleportation. He instantly looked around the site.

"I'll search this area," Josh said gesturing to his left, "and you take the right." Tesseract nodded and they split up. Josh had thought about what Tesseract had recently told him. About magic being real, everywhere. Josh hadn't suspected a thing. And the fact that he would become Taunter, the destroyer of all evil. He now understood Viper when he said,

"I know more about you than even you know." It had made sense now. And he was right. But now Josh knew all that he needed to know. He understood his role. Survive the next five days, become Taunter, kill Red-Eye, and restore peace and kill all evil on earth. But Josh had to take it one step at a time. His main focus at the moment, find the Book of R. As Josh went to move some rubble, he felt a strange sensation in his left arm. It was one of the sorcerer abilities. It was an incoming message from Tesseract.

"Found the book Josh. I'm at the tail part of the wreckage. Test your teleporting now." Tesseract informed. Josh did as he was told. He concentrated hard, pushing away all other thoughts. He thought only about the tail wreckage. Everything around him suddenly changed. He glanced around and noticed Tesseract was standing two feet away from him. Book of R in his hands.

"Ah, Josh nicely done. Your first attempt at teleportation was a success." Tesseract congratulated Josh with a grin.

"Likewise." Josh replied, copying Tesseract's grin. "May I please see this book?" He asked. Tesseract handed Josh the book. Josh could just feel the evil in his hands. He wanted nothing more than to rip the book apart. But as he examined it closely, something about it seemed strangely familiar. As he examined the pages, it hit him.

"Oh my God." He said aloud.

"What is it?" Tesseract desperately asked.

"This book, Viper was right. I have known where the book has been all along. I didn't even think about it until now. It was the book that my mother was reading." Tesseract nodded with understanding.

"Well now that we have the book, let's call Viper and instruct him to meet us at the town square tomorrow at ten." Tesseract reached for his left pocket.

"Why call me? You can just hand over the book to me now." A voice suddenly spoke from behind them. Josh and Tesseract turned at the same moment to see Viper standing ten feet away from them. He shot them an evil grin. Tesseract stared at him with his brilliant red eyes, and Josh clenched his fists and prepared to fight.
