Josh and Tesseract teleported back to the base. Tesseract's base. Josh put the book down on the dining table, and instantly went to check on his mother. She was looking better than she did before. Josh gave her a glass of water. And she drank it. Quickly. Josh had had enough for a day. He went into Tesseract's office, and noticed he was examining something on the table.

"What is that? Josh asked.

"It's the disintegration bomb." Tesseract replied.

"Oh cool. Well, I'm stuffed so I'm gonna go and sleep. Hopefully killing Viper will come sooner." Josh exclaimed with a cocky smile.

"It sure will. Have a good sleep." Tesseract replied. Josh nodded solemnly. He then turned out of the office, walked down the massive hallway and into the room where his mother lay sleeping Just as he rested his head down, Tesseract stormed into the room.

"What is it?" Josh asked with caution and fear.

"We have about 300 destroyers closing in on the base, and quickly too. Get up, you can rest after we kill them."

Josh got up with annoyance and ran down the hallway, following Tesseract the entire time. They got to the main entrance as the door was being violently attacked from the other side. Tesseract pulled out his Revolver, and aimed it at the door, ready for the oncoming waves. Josh summoned a flame in each hand and waited. After a few hundred more thuds against the door, the Destroyers swarmed in. They charged with great speed. Tesseract sent multiple bullets into the swarm, and Destroyers were sent flying. Josh threw flames, killing a few with each. Josh used the air technique, and multiple Destroyers were sent flying back. Despite being small, they were quite a handful. One somehow managed to manoeuvre behind the pair, and Josh turned to greet it with a wicked smile. It snarled at him, showing it's serrated teeth. It charged and knocked Josh off his feet. Josh desperately fended off the ferocious creature. He eventually managed to push it off himself and onto its side, and the fight drastically changed. Josh instantly shot a fireball at it. It flew into the wall, and died on impact. Josh smiled and turned to face the main swarm. For a moment, he and Tesseract just stared at nothing. The Destroyers had either totally vanished, or were retreating. Josh turned to Tesseract,

"What do we do?" He asked.

"We wait, they could be anywhere now." Tesseract replied whilst still aiming his gun at the entrance. A few moments passed- nothing. Tesseract loosened his grip on the gun.

"We're clear. Let's go get prepared to blow up some sweepers." As soon as Tesseract said "sweepers" the roof of the front area of the base was ripped off. Josh and Tesseract looked up with fear. To their shock, a giant Destroyer was looking down on them. Josh didn't need to be told. At the exact same moment, the pair both launched an all out attack. Tesseract sent multiple bullets into its skull, and Josh sent fireballs into its chest. It was going down easy. Easier than they expected. As Josh was sending out fireballs, a huge burst of flames shot out if his palms. Upon impact, the Destroyer was killed. It began to fall forwards. Directly at Josh and Tesseract.

"Josh, move now!" Tesseract yelled as he ran down the hallway. He was closely followed by Josh. The pair ran as fast as possible, and when they felt the entire base shake, they knew they made it. They turned to see where the Destroyer landed. Just a mere two feet away from Josh.

"You're lucky." Tesseract exclaimed.

"I know. But were those things Destroyers?"

"Yes indeed."

"Even that monstrosity?"

"Even that, yes. Viper must have sent them hoping that he would get the book earlier. But that wasn't all of them. We will encounter more of them in the future."

"That's reassuring."

"I was thinking the same thing." Tesseract replied with a grin. His metal mask was designed to move with his facial movements.

"Let's go rest up Josh." Josh nodded quietly. He was exhausted. He could really go for a sleep.

"I'll see you tomorrow." Josh said.

"Yes. Rest up. Tomorrow will be very important. We need to be alert the entire time. Who knows what these god damn sweepers are capable of."
