Chapter 1 I'm a Mermaid?

Chapter 1

I was on the ocean floor, suprised I wasn't suffocating. I looked at my feet, I had a tail! I started panicking. Where are my feet! I attempted swimming up and I succeeded. My dad yelled out, "Aqua! Aqua!!!!" I got out of the water away from my dad and my tail faded away just before my dad came. He helped me up and then I asked, "What happened, how did I get down there?" "You were walking on the fishing bridge and you just fell off! I started yelling and you came up after 10 minutes! You have really good lungs Aqua" my dad explained. "oh....sorry dad.....I...like....didn't....mean...to.........do....that" I stuttered, not telling him about my tail thing. I've always loved that beach, but more importantly how do I have a tail!?!?! I ran to my dad's white mini van. My mom, little sister, and my older brother sat in the car as well. I decided that when I get home I would go to the bathroom and wet my feet and see what happens. As soon as we got home, I ran to my bedroom, locked the door, and stripped my clothes. I grabbed my favorite towel and ran to my personal bathroom. I locked the door and turned on the water. I looked in the mirror to notice something unusual. My eyes were a silvery blue, it was so pretty! My eyes were usually brown so what is happening to me!!! The tub was full so I got in and my tail was a nice blue that turned to turquoise and that turned to green. I looked down and I had a pretty ocean blue bra on with green straps. I guess that when my feet change my clothes change too. I took a nice shower and relaxed. When I was done I dried myself and put on my black and blue PJs. I put my hair in a casual bun and headed downstairs for dinner. My sister turned the TV on and all three of us watched Spongebob while eating chicken nuggets and french fries. When we finished I said goodnight to Zayn, my 14 year old brother and Vanessa, my 9 year old sister. I, a 12 year old girl said goodnight to my parents and ran upstairs to my room so I can watch some TV and go to sleep, there was school tommorow so my bed time was 10:00. It was 8:40 so I watched TV until 9:56 and fell asleep.

My alarm clock woke me and I took a shower, made my bed, and changed into a sky blue Vans T-Shirt, dark blue skinny jeans and some black mustache converse. I ran to the dining room to find my mom (my sister is in Elementry so her school starts at 8:00am and my bro is in high school so his school starts at 7:30am, but my middle school starts at 9:30am so I am alone in the morning) I ate a bowl of Cheerios and asked my mother about my tail, "Mom, yesterday I was underwater and somehow had a tail."
"Eeeeeeehhhhh ur finally growing!" my mom squealed. "Wait so this is normal?" I asked. "Well u see, u were born a mermaid, but u grow a tail from ages 11-13 and you are twelve so you grew it. Wait what's the color of ur tail?" my mom asked excitingly "Well it's blue, turquoise, and green." I answered "That means you have two powers! You have Earth and you have water! Look I have a lot to explain to u but right now u have to get to school!" my mom replied I ran outside to meet my friends. We fast walked to Apollo Middle School and ran to 1st period.
