Chapter 9

Zayn P.O.V

"Dad! Dad! Is Aqua going to be alright?" My little sister, Vanessa, asked worried. I admit, I'm pretty worried too, not that I would say that.

"I don't know, princess." Dad said. He has some worry lines on his forehead. Then, out of nowhere mom and the doctor came out.

"Well, Aqua is fine but during our check, something happen to her. We don't know what it is yet. But don't worry, she is fine and can go home now." The doctor told us.

Slowly, Aqua came out of the room and the look on the face told everyone she wanted to go home. After she came out, we left right away.

Aqua P.O.V.

I hate white. That was the only color I saw at the...... mermaid hospital? What should I even call that place? Anyways, we got home pretty quickly, but when we got there, the house next door that was usually empty, there was a truck, many boxes and one girl sitting on a box.

The girl looked my age and has a tan complexion with long wavy raven black hair with blond tips and navy blue eyes. She was wearing black skinny jeans, a navy blue t shirt, and combat boots. She had her hair in layers and her hair was open. Maybe we could be friends. I look horrible! I need to go change first. I went inside and put on dark blue high waist skinny jeans and a red vans t shirt. I dried my hair and put on red and black nikes. Then I left my hair open. I ran outside.

"Hi I'm Aqua Smith! Welcome to the neighborhood!" I said

She smiled "I'm Destiny Styles. And thanks. It's kinda hard to get used to a new house since my dad died in our old one." She said.

"Oh. Sorry about that." I said

"Nah it's cool." she said

"What school are you gonna go to?" I asked

"Apollo Middle" she said

"Hey I go there." I said

"I guess I'll see you there." She said

"Aqua! Time to come in!" my mom yelled

"Bye I'll see you around." I said

"Adios" She said
