"You? You're the Rider? You!?" He exclaimed
How is this so hard to believe? It he that sexist? What a dick. So lets down his hotness.
"What? What's a Rider?" I asked playing it ignorant.
"Get ready to attack him Madison."
"You know," he said standing up and putting his hands in his pockets, a smirk playing on his lips "Being a Vampire has cool perks, you see we can hear better which means that every time you lie, I can hear your heart skip a beat." He whispered leaning in so our faces were inches apart.
"Now!" Daemon roared.
I slammed my head into his nose and gripped the collar of his shirt pushing him back, but still holding on, I brought up my knee and kneed him in the groin, he groaned out and fell to his knees as I let him go, then pushing him back a bit more, I struck out my foot and knocked him across the head, knocking the cocky Vampire out cold.
My hands shook with adrenalin as I quickly searched his pockets, grabbing the key to the door. I moved as fast as I could imagine, rushing out the door then slamming and locking it behind me. I turned to leave when a shattering force shook the door, almost causing it to fly off its hinges.
"Get back here Rider!" He yelled slamming into the door again. I didn't hang around to see if the door would collapse under his strength. Damn they recover fast.
The house must be underground for it to be this dark. I could barely see my outstretched hands in front of me. Without asking, Daemon gave me access for his sight, which I gladly took. But I immediately regretted being able to see when I saw the blood and bodies hanging on the walls.
I had walked straight into their play pen.
Bile rose in my throat as I saw four humans naked and unconscious on the walls. They were in shackles and had Vampire teeth bites all over their bodies. One of the woman moaned in pain.
"There too far gone. If they notice you, they'll scream for their master." Daemon said sympathetically.
Swallowing the sick feeling, I carefully and quietly made my way through the room. The walls were damp from sprayed blood and other stuff that I do not want to even think about. I winced when I stood on what looked to be a syringe as it crunched under my feet, alerting one of the woman.
"Christian? Is it time?" She moaned, a sickly smile spreading across her lips. Her voice awoke the other woman too, which had them all moaning his name.
I think I'm going to throw up.
"Don't move Maddie." Daemon said stopping me mid step. It was silent for what seemed like an eternity. Then suddenly the woman started to scream.
"Christian! Intruder! Christian!" Forgetting about hiding in the shadows, I ran to the door on the far side of the room, wincing as they all started to scream. The screams pierced my ear drums painfully as if they were all banshees. I ran through the door and sighed in relief when I saw a staircase to my left. But my sigh caught in my throat as I heard a Vampires hiss to my right.
It was the beast that had murdered everyone on the bus. What had he called himself? Marvin?
His eyes widened as he took in my face. "You," he breathed stumbling back a step "You escaped the Master? What kind of curse are you? Eyes . . " He mumbled stepping back some more.
Eyes? Oh. Daemons dragon eyes. I've only ever caught a glimpse of them. They're slitted like a cats, but are white with flecks of grey surrounding the pupil.
