"tag! Your it!"Hayden's young 7 year old self cried as he quickly tapped Antoine and bolted away. Hayden had always been fast. As a result he wasn't scared of much. He figured he could do whatever he wanted and just book it.
Antoine slowly fell behind as Hayden quickly turned corners, in the bright summer day, ten years ago. Once Hayden was out of Antoine's sight, he ducked into an alley, behind a dumpster. Back when the city was thriving and running great, it looked like an average small town.
Hayden crouched down and peeked around the corner of the dumpster. He saw Antoine run past without a clue of Hayden's location. Hayden chuckled and leaned back. The black skulls had always looked like nice people, like town saviors to Hayden.
As Hayden relaxed, hiding, he looked around the alley. He saw mostly clean concrete ground, with an occasional random wet spot on the ground from garbage. After a couple of minutes, Hayden was startled to see a man in a wife beater with a red beard but bald head, pushed against the wall on the other end of the alley.
The black skull soldier dressed in moderately high ranking clothing, pushed him against the wall and began asking the man about something, he clearly had no idea about. Hayden became confused why the soldier was treating the man that way.
Hayden slowly, and quietly, stood up and began creeping towards the two men. He heard the bearded man say
"Yeah? Well why don't you shove it up your ass!"Hayden flinched slightly at these words, add his mother nearly never cursed. She made sure to be a great mom and perfect example. As Hayden didn't have a father figure to look up to, he never knew his father, he had left when his mother was pregnant. What came next, traumatized Hayden more than scare him. The soldier drew a knife, hidden in his belt and stabbed it, deep into the man's stomach, then dropped him to the ground.
Hayden's jaw literally, dropped. Tears began pouring out of his eyes and he ran home, bawling. His mother could only comfort him by saying that he was safe, because these incidents happened often and the town was owned by black skull.
The only good thing about this situation was that Hayden could laugh to himself whenever he thought about this because Antoine was out until 10:00 at night looking for Hayden. Antoine was then grounded.
_______________________________________Hayden's eyes weakly fluttered open as if a force was holding them shut. The only real force that was, was sleepiness. Hayden sat up, he recognized his surroundings, Lee's house. He then realized the past events, of him being knocked unconscious.
He quickly stood up and looked frantically, around for his bag or bow. Neither were anywhere to be found. Hayden stood up, cursing rip himself and scratching his head.
"Looking for, these?"a sharp feminine voice said. Hayden whipped around to see a beautiful young woman in, if he had to guess, in her early twenties. She had luxurious black hair in a long ponytail like Hayden's, except over the front of her shoulders, curled at the end. Deep, Olive colored skin. With a dark green, shimmering eye color.
She wore a handkerchief over her mouth and nose, implying that she was the one who knocked Hayden out. She wore a straight black skirt which had no strap, and was rather short in length.
She held up Hayden's bag and bow in her other hand. Hayden could see she had neatly cut, but long sharp nails. Hayden looked her up and down, intrigued. He picked up that she had perfect eyelashes which were long and sexy. As well as black combat boots, she had one leg stretched across the couch, the other, knee bent up.
"You should've tied me up when you had the chance."said Hayden in a rough and vicious tone. She giggled, even her laugh had a sharp Italian accent."oh, my my. The old man would cause more damage, young tiger."she said, in a playful voice.
