Prologue

Part one

That night, the sky was dark. The air was chilly. A young boy who looked no older than sixteen was walking home. Being late he decided to use a short cut, an action any normal person would have done if they knew his 'mama'. She was one not to be mess with when angry.

The light of the lamp under which he was passing flickered twice before completely going off. His only source of light was out. The boy fastened his step. He had a bad feeling. He felt as if someone was watching him, mocking him as he passed. A strange smell filled the air. It smelled like blood and death. He felt the hairs on his neck rise. Something wasn't right and he knew it.

He wanted to run but willed himself not to as he was not a coward.

Suddenly he spotted a silhouette. Its 'back' was leaning against the dirty wall, to the side a trash can. Was it a person? an animal? or an object? He could not say. He walked closer trying to get a better look. He walked slowly, unsure of what laid to the side of the trashcan. It looked like the wings of an animal, a bird perhaps.

But by looking at the legs of the creature he was certain that it was a human. His best guess was that it was someone in a costume. But Halloween had already passed. Someone advertising for a product? Or some guy disguised in an angel to win over his crush? He was completely freaking out by now he walked closer to the 'thing'...
