A/N: Hello peeps!!! So... This is my first book... And looking at all the amazing wattpaders, and all the enormous encouragement u guys offer to writers here, I just thought "why not try writing a book myself instead of only reading other's works all the time..." And here's the product of that sudden idea... Hope u guys would be a bit lenient considering it is the first time I'm writing anything at all...

"Prema! Wake up! It's already 8 o' clock! Don't you have a meeting at nine today? Look at how irresponsible this girl has become! If only she had gotten married at the right age... She would have been much more responsible and level-headed..." As usual, my mum's deploration rang out in the house like suprabatham, early in the morning.
"Amma, why do you worry so much? I can take of my career life pretty well; you leave that to me. And how many times do I tell you that I don't want to wake up to your worries about my marriage? When I find the right guy, I will get married, and lead a happy, contented life. So please stop thinking about it all the time, and chill!" I shouted back in reply as I hurriedly gathered all my presentation materials and stuffed them into my bag... Oh god, another cliche Monday morning...
~~~~~
To those who know me, hey! How's life? And for those who don't know me, well hey! I'm Prema Kaushik, a typical 34 yr old South Indian woman, leading a typical life, except for the fact that I'm still single (which you guys would have most probably figured out by now), who is currently trying to sort out her typical, messed up Monday morning...
Running down the stairs, I book an OLA cab, while trying to recollect my part of the presentation; today's conference is one that will determine the future of the company that I'm working for... Thankfully, the cab reaches within two minutes, and off I go to one of the most important meetings of my life...
Once I reach there though, I realize that I have surprise waiting for me... The CEO of the company that we were to have a partnership with was Krishnan Kumar, one of the many prospective grooms whom I had rejected due to the single reason that I wanted to marry a guy with whom I was head over heels in love...
He was talking to my manager, a highly professional smile plastered onto his face. As he turned and saw me though, that smile faltered, and was replaced by a smirk. Confidently, he walked over to me and smiled.
"Well well, look at who we have here... How are you Prema? Never thought I would see you again... So you work here huh?"
"Ya Krishnan... In fact, I was the one who supposed to be giving the presentation in today's meeting... Anyways, how's everything going?" I asked.
"Hmmm, everything's good... I found myself a wife a couple of months after we met... Alekha is the name... Wonderful girl... We're expecting twins anytime soon... How about you? Any love interest yet?"
"Wow! Congratulations Krishnan! Hope to see your kids some day... And about myself, well I'm still waiting for Mr.Right... Don't know when I will find him..."
"Oh... Mr.Right huh? Trust me on this Prema, there is no Mr.Right in this world... You somehow find yourself a partner, and you learn to love them... That's how it goes... Get yourself someone soon... I wouldn't want my friend to die single would I?" He said with a smug smile and left...
Well, this was not the first time someone said that to me...
~~~~~
The presentation went well... Krishnan was impressed with my presentation abilities, and he accepted the partnership... The rest of the day flew by pretty fast, and before I knew it, I was back at home, hungrily gulping down the last bits of the tasty masal dosa that my mum had prepared for me...
As I changed into my PJs and laid down on my comfy bed, Krishnan's words echoed in my mind over and over again... 'Trust me on this Prema, there is no Mr.Right in this world... You somehow find yourself a partner, and you learn to love them... That's how it goes... Get yourself someone soon... I wouldn't want my friend to die single would I?' Those words kept haunting me... I really won't die single in my search for Price Charming would I?
Soon though, I felt my eyes droop uncontrollably, and shortly, I was in dreamland, snoring away like a bear...
Well there goes a typical day in my typical unmarried life...
