^^ Daniel + Blue Eyes^^

--- James's POV ---

I looked up from my book, sniffing. "Is she burning incense? Oh geez not again..."

I huffed and stood, stretching, and then marked down into the baths, covering my eyes.

"Child-"

Then I stopped, hearing something odd-, "DON'T YOU KNOW ITS RUDE TO CALL ON A LADY WHILE SHE'S INDISPOSED?!?" I heard Rowena scream, and I snarled, Sprinting across the wet floor reflexively.

I slammed a Rune down under my feet, and launched myself at the man holding a bloody knife.

I slammed both of us through the wall, and started beating him to death. I broke his bones, ripped out his organs, ripped off fingers and other attachments, and eventually I was standing over a bloody pile of shredded flesh, nothing more.

I sprinted away, carelessly, and yelled for her. "Rowena? Where-"

I came into the changing room, and stopped. Greta was unconscious, across from the blackened remains of what could only be the first man's partner.

I growled. "Mirage... you're her guardian... why did you not stop this?"

"She was in no dire danger... she had it covered. She will not learn to protect herself if I save her all the time. And I planned on torturing him for information, but... she carved an Ea into his ribs, while cursing him in Spanish." The demon manifested, chuckling.

I growled. "No excuses. You were off screwing around, instead of protecting your mistress!"

She turned her eyes to me slowly, and they blazed. "You will not accuse me falsely. You know as well as I that I cannot let her die. I wouldn't have. Calm yourself, and take a bath." She growled.

I looked at myself, and flinched. I was soaked in blood.

I sighed and nodded. "Take care of her." I snapped, and turned away. I stepped into the baths slowly, letting the waters melt away the bloody film over my skin.

When I exited, I burned my clothes and summoned new ones, simple silk pants and a shirt. I entered the changing room to find Baba Yaga happily munching on the corpses in the shape of a large dog.

I smiled. "Hello, Old friend."

'Hmm... James. It's been too long. How's life?' She giggled, and then opened her mouth impossibly wide, and swallowed both corpses easily.

"Rather dull, actually. Bound to get more interesting, now, of course... was there anything in their belongings?" I asked.

She hummed, and then shook her head. 'Just Rune Stones, and all used. They used them to get in. They didn't expect to leave... they were sent as fodder to kill your daughter and die in the attempt.' She replied softly, then growled. 'Its best that they know she is not theirs to torment... I will teach them this."

I shook my head. "Let them come. Their worst is nothing compared to the Guardian, or me. And you? You own your own dimension. I think it's safe to say she's going to be just fine."

She grumbled and turned into a floating shark. 'Perhaps...' She flew out after Mirage and Greta, I supposed, and I stepped into my scrying room.

I pricked a finger, and dripped a small droplet of blood into the small bowl, and it began issuing mist.

The room filled, and I growled. "Fallon of The Ran-Sun." I spoke the name of my target.
