Bomb shells, smoke and blood.
"Change the channel." ignorance mutters.

Deep down he feels the guilt of not being able to stomach what's real.

In a cocoon, sheltered and kept, the reality of the world doesn't hit him yet.

We all think the world is this amazing place until a shocking reminder, reminds us again.

If we're lucky it just leaves a scar but for others, the real victims ...it tears them apart, but still they fight, proud and brave, whilst we lounge partially unaware of the belligerent woes in our midst,in the same world that we blissfully live.

They cry and beg for help, not sympathy ,but us choosing to be selectively deaf, tune them out and carry on in a world that's seemingly perfect, a world that can do no harm.

A world where the only crisis that happens is in our favourite drama.
