Bailey's POV
I walked in the front door of my house and slipped off my shoes.
"Mum? I'm here." I shouted while setting down my book bag.
"We're in here!" She yelled back from the kitchen. I walked in and saw my mum sitting at the kitchen table and talking with a man. He was probably about 35 and had light brown hair.
"Hello..?" I said, sounding a little confused.
They turned around and looked at me. The guy jumped up out of his seat and rushed over to me.
"Hello Bailey! I'm Jim Baxter! I'm from your management team! So, so great to finally meet you!" He said, smiling and grabbing my hand to shake it. The guy's a lot stronger than he looks.
"Mr. Baxter here has some great news!" She said, her voice bursting with excitement.
"Yes, yes I do!" He said, mimicking her excitement.
"Yeah, and what may that be?" I asked.
They looked at each other with just a tad bit more excitement than before.
"You're going on tour!" The guy exclaimed.
I'm what?
"Wait, what? I think I misunderstood you. Did you say that I'm going on tour?" I asked, obviously shocked.
"No Bailey, you understood me perfectly! You're going on tour!" He said.
My face broke into a huge smile.
"When? And where?" I asked, now showing the same excitement they were.
"In two months! Your gonna tour in cities all over the UK. I don't know off the top of my head, but you'll know exactly where soon enough." He explained.
"How long will this tour last?" I asked.
"Considering there are too many cities for me to count, probably three months at the least." He said.
"At the least?" I questioned.
"Yeah. Is there a problem with that?" He asked.
I thought about Kira. She'll be at school all alone for three months or more. I mean, she did say that the bullying hasn't been as bad. And I can definitely find someone to look after her while I'm gone. Surely she won't mind, right?
"Umm... no, not at all!" I said while giving him a smile.
"Great! Absolutely wonderful! Well, I ought to get going. I'll make sure I get you the rest of the details soon. I'll be in touch!" He said and grabbed his coat.
"Alright! Bye!" I said.
"Take care!" Mum said as she lead him to the door.
I heard the door shut, so I went and grabbed my book bag.
"So, tour! It sounds exciting, huh?" Mum said to me.
"Uh huh, yep!" I said casually and walked upstairs with my book bag.
As soon as I shut my bedroom door, I threw my book bag and jumped up and down screeching like a little girl.
Tour! I'm going on tour! I can't believe it! I cannot wait to tell Kira!

Kira's POV
"Alright class, that's all for today! Have a nice weekend!" My history teacher said as the bell rang out through the school and everyone gathered their stuff to leave. I got all my books and started out to my locker. As I got closer to my locker, I saw a group of people surrounding someone by the lockers. I stood behind everyone, trying to see what was happening, but I was too short. I pushed my way through the crowd and saw an 8th year student being held against the locker by his collar by, well, you guessed it. Mr. Star Quarterback himself, Alex Middleton. Everyone else around them were laughing and making jokes. Why aren't they stopping him? Before I could stop myself, I walked to Alex and pushed him away from the kid.
"Leave him alone!" I yelled as Alex stumbled back.
He looked at me angrily.
"Get out of here Mitchell. Shouldn't you be at home tending to your sick mother or something?" He said, and everyone laughed.
I backed up a bit.
"Leave my mother out of this." I said, trying to stay calm.
"Don't tell me what to do, how 'bout that." He said.
"I'll do what I want, thank you very much." I replied.
Everyone in the crowd made "ooooh" noises, and Alex's glare turned from angry to furious.
"Why don't you go cry to your boyfriend like the baby you are and let me continue." He said, glancing at the frightened boy behind him then back at me.
"Bailey's not my boyfriend." I said firmly.
Everyone laughed, and so did Alex.
"Okay, sure he's not. I could care less either way. Just get your pathetic ass out of here before I make you." He said.
"Well then, go ahead, make me." I challenged.
I cannot believe I just said that.
Alex strutted over to me, a bit too fast for my liking. When he finally approached me, he put his hand on my shoulder and pushed me. I fell to the ground, right on my bum. Everyone broke out into hysterical laughter, even more than before. Alex laughed as well.
Everyone jumped as the dismissal bell rang, meaning that the school day was officially over.
Everyone walked away, including Alex. And I was left laying there on the floor by myself.
I saw the boy that Alex was bothering slowly walk over to me.
"A-are you okay?" He asked quietly.
"Yeah, I'm fine." I said while picking up my books that had fallen.
"Here, let me help you." He said, bending down and helping me pick up my books.
"Thanks." I said while standing up with my books in my hand.
He also stood up and handed me the rest of my books.
"No problem!" He said, smiling.
"I'm Mikey!" He told me while reaching out his hand for me to shake it.
"Kira! Nice to meet you!" I replied, shaking his hand.
"Yeah, you too!" He said.
We both just stood there awkwardly for a moment until he finally spoke.
"Well, I best be heading home. See you around!" He said.
"Okay, see you!" I said back as he disappeared out the door.
I sighed and opened my locker door. I gathered all of the books I needed for homework and shut my locker.
I put in my headphones and walked out of the big school doors to start on my way home. I was looking down at my phone, in the middle of texting Bailey to tell him I was on my way home, when I felt a tug on my earbuds. Alarmed, I quickly looked up to see who it was. There was no one there. I turned around to be faced with Madison Perry; head cheerleader, and most liked girl at my high school.

I mentally groaned.
"Thought you could go a day without me, huh Mitchell?" She said, smirking evilly.
"I uh.. I've got to get home to my mum." I said quickly and turned around to continue home.
I should've known that wouldn't work.
She grabbed hold of my arm and forcefully turned me around, not letting go of my arm.
"Leaving already?" She said, faking a pouty face.
I just stood there, not saying a word.
"I'll tell you what; you give me this, and I'll let you go home or whatever." She said, eyes glued to the necklace around my neck.
It was the necklace my grandmother had given me before she passed away when I was eight years old. It had a gold chain and a turquoise coloured gem, which is my birthstone. I couldn't give it to her.
"No, I can't. It's mine." I said.
"Well, that's too bad then." She said.
She grabbed hold of the necklace and pulled on it, hard. The chain snapped and I fell flat on my face. My phone fell out of my pocket onto the hard cement.
She turned away, necklace in hand, giggling.
I slowly lifted my head and watched her skip down the street. I waited until she was completely out of sight to get up. I got to my feet and brushed the dirt off my pants. I bent down and picked up my phone. When I turned it around so that I could look at the screen, it was horribly cracked and the home button had fallen off.
I put my hand to my chest where the necklace once was, and the tears that I had been holding in finally escaped. She took it. That was the last thing I had left from my grandma, and now it's gone. And my phone is broken. And I've probably gotten a concussion. Why am I cursed?

I wiped my tears with the back of my hand, and it was a lot more wet then I had expected. I looked at my hand and saw it was covered in blood. I sighed heavily and slowly walked home. My ankle hurt as well, but it was nothing compared to how I felt about losing my necklace.
