+Michael+

I've never cried so hard in my life. Dani was diagnosed with acute amnesia. Because of me.

Because I cut her off, because I didn't bother to check in on her, she was like this because of me.

Dani didn't have anyone. Both of her parents could care less, so I said I'd stay to take care of her, until the doctor felt she was able to work and live on her own again.

"You could trigger her memories again," the doctor told Luke, Calum, Ashton and I last night before we left the hospital. "Recreate memories, take her places she's been to and is comfortable with. It may just come back, but it'll take time."

We took Dani home last night, laid her in bed and we all went to bed ourselves. Except for me. I stayed up to make sure she was okay and that's when I started to cry. I cried for hours.

If I had just looked at her fucking letters and realized what she was going through I would have reached out sooner. I love her so much, I really do, but if she does get her memories back, what if she hates me?

My thoughts were interrupted by Dani waking up, looking at me curiously. "Who are you?" She asked, my heart shattering.

"I'm Michael, I'm one of your best friends." I spoke, "You had a really bad accident Dani."

"Why what happened?" She asked, sitting up in bed and looking at me.

"That's a story for another time," I answered simply, "but right now we're going to focus on getting your memories-"

I was interrupted by Luke coming into the bedroom. "Sorry, uh, Keith is in the phone Michael." Luke said, "Just come out here soon, okay?"

I nodded and looked back to Dani. "Who is that? And who is Keith?" She asked and I sighed.

"Luke is also one of your best friends and Keith is our tour manager." I answered, "But hey, I'll be right back, I've gotta go and talk with the guys."

I left Dani there, even more confused than she was when she woke up.

I walked out into Dani's living room and noticed Ashton, Luke and Calum all standing up with the phone on speaker.

"Tour starts back up in two weeks, no exceptions." Keith spoke.

"What about Dani?" I asked, cutting into the conversation. "We can't just leave her."

"Nice of you to join the conversation Michael," Keith spoke, "But she's not our problem, it's a shame she has amnesia but you all have a job to do, we all all do."

"But she's sick!" I yelled, making the boys jump. "I'm not leaving her here."

"Yes you are Michael." He said stubbornly. "Two weeks is all I can give you boys, that's it. Now on the other hand, we need new music to be recorded, so I'll fly a team down to Sydney to help you all with the next album, sound good?"

"Yes sir." We all said together.

"Okay good, two weeks with that girl and two weeks full of writing new music." Keith said, "I'll see you all soon, stay safe."

"Bye Keith." Ashton said, hanging up the phone.

"Fucking asshole." I mumbled, but loud enough for the boys to hear.

"Hey!" Calum yelled, "Keith is right, this isn't our fault, it's not yours Michael. She's over dramatic, sadly it came to this but we have a job, we worked to hard to let it all go, okay?"

"You've become a real dick." I said to Calum and his face turned red.

"You're too invested into the music, you don't give a damn about anyone but yourself." I spoke.
