Day 2: 8:31am

"Where are we going?" Dani asked me, considering I dragged her out of bed at six this morning. She'd asked this question multiple times before, but I don't think she remembered.

"We're going on a little adventure." I informed Dani for the hundredth time. "I'm hoping I'll help you remember some of the good times we had together."

Dani and I had been driving around for about two hours, I honestly wasn't sure where to start first. The driving was distracting me from all the bad going on right now. Ashton, Calum and Luke were all in the studio writing music while I was trying to regain Dani's memories.

We hit a bump in the road and I focused back on driving. Dani was looking out the window, trying to take in the new scenery. I finally decided to take her to the first place we ever hung out alone together. The arcade.

"Remember this place?" I asked her, but she just frowned.

"We went here?" She asked, looking at the rundown building that used to be an arcade. The arcade had closed about a two years ago, from the research I did.

"Yeah, it's the first time we were ever alone together without the guys." I informed her, "Kinda like our first date."

"Oh, we dated?" She asked, turning to look at me.

"No exactly." I paused, not quite sure how to continue the conversation.

"So we were just best friends?" She asked, turning back to the building.

"Yeah, very good best friends." I answered, "How about we go inside?"

"But it's not open." She said, but I just laughed.

"Doesn't mean we can't go inside." I said, grabbing her hand and leading her inside. The chains on the front of the doors had been broken, so it was fairly easy to get inside. Dust covered the entire room, but neither of us seemed to care. Dani was in awe with the new but hopefully familiar surroundings.

"Do they still have pacman?" Dani suddenly asked, I froze in my place and looked back at her.

"You remember?" I asked, noticing Dani's face turn red. "You remember being here Dani?"

"I remember playing pacman," She spoke, looking as if she was about to cry. "That's it, that's all I remember!"

She screamed in frustration and began to angrily cry, frustrated she couldn't remember and I couldn't help but continue to blame myself. I did this to her.

"Why can't I remember you? Why can't I remember anything?" She asked over and over again, I couldn't help but watch her cry, there was nothing else I could do. "I can't remember."

Dani sat down on the ground and covered her face with her knees. I sat down next to her and pulled her into a hug. "I'm sorry you can't remember." I spoke, my voice cracking halfway through the sentence. "I'm sorry this happened."

"What happened?" Dani asked, looking up from her knees. "Where are we?" My heart dropped. The doctor said this would happen a lot after taking her out of the hospital, but I didn't think it would happen this quickly. The memory loss was the worst of it. She couldn't just not remember anything, after a while she'll forget what she did throughout the day and the doctor said we just have to go along with it, just help her bring out her memories.

"Nothing, nothing happened." I sighed, pulling Dani up from the ground up to her feet. "Maybe we should just go home."

Dani followed me out, getting into the passenger side of the car. I wanted to drive her home so she could sleep and I could go help the boys with the new music.
