Renesmee met up with me in front of the cafeteria, her smile lighting up the room. Her smile sent my heart racing automatically, and as I caught up with her she grabbed lightly on the strap of my bag. I knew it was to lead me without getting lost, but the action seemed so large to me.

I could feel the stares of everyone in the room. It made my cheeks flood in reaction, and I wished no one would look our way. I wasn't used to the curious looks, and I wished they would go away. I looked down and away from everyone I could, even the six inhumanly beautiful creatures we were rapidly coming upon.

Looking at them, I couldn't help but spot the differences and similarities between all of them. Each of them had the same pale skin, even paler than the majority of the students here. Their eyes were all gold, a peculiar color I had never seen before. I wanted to say it may have been a genetic thing, but their faces – so similar – were nothing alike.

Though, all of them were gorgeous, as they all were in their own respects. One with long brown hair, similar to mine, looked up at me with a smile as we approached. Another, next to her had the same bronze hair Renesmee did, and their similarities were striking. Though, I kept my eyes going, and noticed a short pixie like girl with inky black hair that stuck out in all directions. She smiled too, her eyes excited. Beside her sat a honey blond boy, and he didn't seem quite as friendly, uncomfortable even. Then there was a blonde with the face of a goddess; she was the one I could tell most of the student body wished to have or to be. I, myself, couldn't decide, but mostly settled on to be. Next to the blonde goddess sat a burly boy, his hair was curly and I swore he should have been in college instead of high school. If I was being honest, they all should have been out of high school.

"This is Alec," Renesmee introduced as we came up to the table, sitting us down in two seats between the burly boy and the brunette girl. I sat next to the burly one, while she sat next to the girl. I set my bag down on the floor beside me, waving lightly as I was unsure of what to say. I had never felt so intimidated in front of a group of people before. We're they hiding supermodels in small towns across the country? Maybe Forks was an anomaly beyond its near constant cover of clouds and rain.

"I'm Bella, it's nice to meet you," the brunette spoke. She smiled still at me, and I couldn't help but smile back. I set my lunch bag on the table, taking out the bag of goldfish to eat.

"Pleasure to meet you, Alec, my name is Edward," the bronze-haired boy smiled lightly at me. I couldn't help but wonder about the similarity in Renesmee's hair and his, as the color was too much the same. Renesmee said she was an only child, but that didn't make too much sense.

"I'm Alice," the small girl spoke, her smile was the largest of the group.

"Jasper," the honey-blond boy spoke sweetly, a small accent slipping. I wondered idly if I had an accent among the school, as I was from the south. I wasn't "southern" but I did live around many people with an obvious accent. It couldn't have been strong, but definitely a different way to how I spoke words.

"Rosalie," the blonde next to Jasper smiled lightly, her beauty second only to Renesmee. I may have been biased.

"I'm Emmett," the burly boy next to me spoke, a wide smile stretching across his face; his smile made him seem like a large teddy bear.

"Nice to meet y'all," I smiled back, even if I mostly had been while they introduced themselves. I took out some of the goldfish I had taken out and began to slowly eat the childish snack. I didn't make eye contact with most of them, as I had always found it too awkward.

"You're in my fifth period," Alice spoke with a bit of excitement.

"Am I? I haven't looked around enough to see who's in my classes," I shrugged, feeling bad about not knowing. She laughed though, which made me feel better about the situation. I couldn't help but give a light laugh too. I tended to find myself paying no attention at all, or I was over analyzing my entire surroundings. I was never good at being in between.
