Since Bruce came back, the Wayne Manor was filled with joy once more. Taryn never stopped loving her father. Her spirit returned, the young girl felt as if she were flying. When Bruce walked into the mansion he was bombarded by a speeding blonde child. "Daddy, I missed you so much!" She shouted with uncontrollable excitement. Bruce picked her up as Alfred walked in to the entrance hall. "Good to see your back Master Bruce" said Alfred in a happy tone. "Its great to be back with my family." Bruce spoke out as he was hugging Taryn.
"How about we all go and sit down for dinner in the kitchen. I made chicken noodle soup." Alfred brought up. All three of them headed in to the kitchen and sat down to eat. "Why did you go away for so long daddy?" Questioned Taryn as she took a break from slurping up her soup. "That is a long story, but to make it short I learned in prison and from training in true justice that I can do what is right. By doing that I can protect what I love." Bruce said proudly. She did not understand all that her dad said, but she knew what he meant. They finished eating and all of them headed in to the entrance sitting room.
"Daddy can you read me my bedtime book?" The child asked her father quietly, as he was sitting on the couch. She held the story of Sleeping Beauty and placed it on Bruce's lap as she snuggled up next to him. Bruce read half of the story and then noticed his daughters breathing slow down. She slept with her head on his chest. He only smiled and sat the book down. Alfred walked in from cleaning in the kitchen and said" I can take her to bed Master Bruce?" Bruce nodded in response and handed Taryn over to Alfred, before he walked off to her bedroom Bruce placed kiss on her forehead.
Bruce Wayne was happy once more, yet he knew what he had to do for the city of Gotham. Before he left several years ago, Rachel took him to the poor slumps of Gotham. There he saw what his thoughts of justice would lead him to in the end. He met a major player in the mob life of the city, Carmine Falcone. The mafia boss told Bruce only one thing, that real power comes from being feared.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------The next morning Taryn woke up at seven like she always did, followed by eating breakfast with Alfred. After Taryn finished she left Alfred in the kitchen and ran to the master bedroom. The cute girl giggled as she snuck into the room while Bruce lay asleep. He already woke up when she first walked in. Small hands grabbed the top of his bed and then popped up a head of bedhead curly blonde hair. "Good morning daddy." Taryn said in her bubbly voice. Bruce carried her through the mansion all the way to her room. Where Alfred stood with her lavender collard dress.
"Good morning Master Bruce," said Alfred as they both walked in. "Good morning to you Alfred", Bruce responded. "My favorite people are together again!" Taryn spoke up in a happy tone as Bruce placed her upon the floor. Bruce walked out of the room as Alfred got Taryn ready for the day.The afternoon in the manor was slow and that was all the Wayne residence could possibly want. Taryn had played with her dolls while Alfred and Bruce were off talking about where Bruce had been the past couple years. The girl started to put her dolls away in her room and decided to go look for the butler and her father.
She wondered the halls looking for a sign of them, but she could not find either of the men. "Daddy where did you go?" She screamed at the top of the main stair case. Bruce and Alfred came running out from beneath the stairs and found a frightened Taryn. Bruce ran up to her. Then pulled her in to comforting hug. "I'll always be there for you sweet heart" Bruce whispers to her. Shed hug him tighter and smile calmly.
They all walked to the main sitting room. The couch and chair were occupied by them. "Taryn I need to tell you something important." Bruce said serious like, Alfred looked at him for he knew what he was going to say. "I think it would be great for you to go to Gotham Elementary School. You deserve to meet other children and see the city." "I'd love to daddy," Taryn would respond to her father.
The next Monday, Bruce dropped Taryn off for her first day of second grade at Gotham Elementary School.
