"Hi." I say.

"Hey!" She replies.

"So, who are you?" I ask.

"Evelyn. But I prefer Eve." She responded.

"Okay. Eve. I like it." I said testing the name out.

"Ha. I know you don't mean that."

"Okay. . . So. . ."

"So. . ."

"Why are you here in the woods?" I ask.

"Why are you here in the woods?" She teasingly asks with a smile hinting at the edges of her mouth.

"Um. Uh. Good question." I say not actually knowing the answer.

"Yeah. I know. I am amazing at tripping up people with my wit."

"Technically I asked that question first. So I am the smart one." I laugh.

"And here is my answer to that well thought out question. I am here because I felt compelled somehow. I just needed to come here. You know what I mean?"

"Yeah, I guess." That was actually exactly why I was here right now. She explained the feeling well.

We are standing near a well. The water inside is glowing.

The forest is not necessarily dark, in fact it is light

The forest is not necessarily dark, in fact it is light.

Very light.

It has many clearings.

It is very open.

And the water in the rivers glow.

It is beautiful.

It even has a tree of light

It even has a tree of light.

It sits in the ruins.

It lights the walls blue.

But the light that makes up the tree itself is white.

As white as snow.

As white as snow

"Hey. Are you okay? You seem kinda zoned out." She says.

"Um. Yeah."

"Is something wrong?" She asks sweetly. "We can talk sometime. Here, give me your number."

I do. We exchange numbers and she is on her way.

I wave goodbye. But I don't think that she notices.
