Roses.
They sit in the corner of the room in a white China vase. They are separated and not clumped. And despite all being one color, they all stand out with their somehow unique coloring.
The thorns are just slightly darker than the rest of the stem.
I stare at them while I hold the book Wreck of the The Titan which was renamed. I will read it. It was one of Emma's favorite books.
