Juliet's P.O.V
This morning Mr. Mercier had called saying that since he was not going to be coming in today, I didn't need to either. Which seemed odd, but I wasn't going to complain.
I decided to go to the local mall in search of a dress for the wedding on Saturday, it being Thursday meant that I could not come home empty handed. I had been given the day off and I was going to take full advantage.
After about three hours of going in and out of various shops I finally found my dress along with a few other things that had caught my eye. I decided to pass by the food court and get a sandwich before going home. As I waited for the couple in front of me to finish, I stood in line just people watching.
Hearing the rhythmic clicking of heels made me mentally cringe as if it was me wearing them, I don't even want to think how much my feet would hurt if I had worn heels today. I don't think I will ever understand why some women wear heels to the mall.
I waited for her to come into my line of vision instead of turning. When she finally did, my eyes widened slightly, she was dressed as if she was going to some sort of premier. She looked great, I won't deny that, but wasn't it a little too much for the mall? I couldn't take my eyes off her dress and hadn't noticed the man she was clinging onto until they turned into the tux shop across from where I was standing.
I also failed to notice that, said man, was Mr. Mercier until he turned to speak to a sales associate. I guess it didn't take long for him to find a new woman.
"Ma'am?"
"Oh yes, sorry," I blushed turning to the worker, embarrassed that I had been caught staring.

I set down my keys and food on my coffee table before going into my room and hanging up my dress, deciding to put the rest of my purchases on my bed. I would find a place for them later, right now I was far too hungry.
I kicked off my shoes and turned on the t.v. before settling on the couch with my sand which. I had barely taken one bite when I was interrupted by a knock on the door.
I chewed what was in my mouth quickly before answering the door. It was a guy who looked a few years younger than me.
"Hi, can I help you with something?" I asked
"You know my cousin next door right?"
Well he got straight to the point...
"You mean Tom?" I asked surprised.
"Yeah, would you mind if I left this box for him here? You'll give it to him for me right?"
"Sure no problem, can I get your name?"
"You want my number too?" he grinned.
"I just want to know who this is from," I scoffed shaking my head.
"Yeah sure, I believe you. I'm Brandon," he smirked.
"Okay i'll make sure he gets it."
"Thanks. See ya around," he grinned turning and going down the steps.
I closed the door setting the box down beside it, making a mental note to give it to Tom after he gets off work.
I sat down smiling at how forward both Tom and his cousin were, I wonder if the rest of his family is that bold, i'll have to ask him later I want to be prepared for anything that might occur.
I looked at my watch, it was only two, I had four hours 'till Tom comes home. I ate more of my sandwich while flipping through the channels settling on one of those wedding dress shows.
