When A Hero Was Born

      I'm sorry I've been very tired lately.

         Little Neva was curled up again crying into her knees. Then she feels something touch her, but this time it was different. She feels tiny little hands gentley pick her off the ground and just holds her as she crys into a warm jacket. By the time she stopped crying and looked  up they were not at the playground anymore, they were about to be on her front porch of her house. Bradly sat Neva down gently on one of the chairs that wasn't wet. Then he pulled something off his shoulders. It was a olive green backpack that Neva had not noticed. He pulled out a white fluffy towel and gave it to her to dry herself off with.
         After Neva dried herself off, she gave the towel back to Bradly. When he put it back in his bag he asked her if she was ok. Neva did not know what to say at first, instead she just stared bewildered at him. A little boy with a busted brow and lip with the beginnings of a black eye and cuts, scrapes, and bruises on his face, neck, and arms, was asking if she was ok.
        Instead of answering Bradly, Neva asked him if he was ok. The little boy smiled and said,"I'm good as long as you are." Neva then asked him,"What can I do for your trouble?" Bradly told her that,"You have to try to come to my 8th birthday party." With that he told her what day, time, and place. Bradly went home to the house next to hers.
        Neva watched Bradly as the week went by and closer to the party, but she did not speak to him until the day of the party. The day of the party Neva was dressed in a long lavender purple dress with her long, straight hair loosely falling to the back of her thighs. Neva did not know what get for Bradly, so she made him a card. It was as red as a Oklahoma sunset we with big, bold black letters that said happy birthday Bradly on it. She walked over to the house next door with the card and blue lollipop
        Bradly was dressed in a pair of brown pants and with it a dark green shirt. He was sitting on a cherry wood chair waiting for the doorbell to ring. He had been waiting for over a hour. You see he did have other friends, but they heard he went against "The Three". So they stopped being friends, because they did not want to get on The Three's bad side. That's what he was thinking about when the doorbell rang.
        Bradly's mom and dad got up and went to the door. They're names are Ava and Ben Jones. Ava's short, wavey hair was black as a starless night and her dark golden eyes are big on her pale golden face. Her nose is at a gentle slope and her lips are big and push. Ben had short light brown hair with light brown eyes and dark olive skin. They are kind and sweet to everyone.
         Anyways, when they came back they had big smiles on and did little Neva. She needed nervous to him, as if she's never been to a birthday party. Bradly then realized that she probably has never been to one. That's because she didn't have any friends. Right then and there he decided to be his friend.
          Neva came over to Bradly and she gave the lollipop and the red card. He didn't really care about the piece of candy, but he did read the card. Neva's smile started to fade when she saw that his eyes started to filling with tears from what he read. That was when he grabbed her hand and dragged her to the other side of the room. He turned on the TV and gave her a game controller. She had never held one before, so she was pressing a bunch of buttons. Bradly patiently taught her what everything did. They played for hours and she didn't win any of the games that day.
            When the sun started to go down Bradly gave Neva half of the cake and walked her back to the little yellow house next door. Then Bradly walked back home and ate some of his cake. After eating his cake he told his parents that he was tired as he grabbed the blue lollipop and the card. He didn't eat the lollipop, instead he put it in his piggy bank and then he put the card in his big superman wall. Bradly then went to bed and dream of his new friend Neva.
