"You picked up on the first ring. Are you that excited to talk to me?"

"Stop being so self obsessed. How are you? It's kinda quiet here without all your bantering. They haven't put anyone else in this room."

"Firstly, I don't banter. Secondly, I'm fine, thank you, my bed's way comfier than the hospital bed. How are you?"

"I'm fine too."

"I'll come visit you tomorrow."

"About that..."

"Yeah?"

"I think you shouldn't come."

"Why not? Did I do something wrong?"

"No...it's just that my parents are coming to visit me tomorrow for, like, the whole day and it's been a while since I've last seen them, so I kinda want to catch up with them a lot."

"Did they go on a holiday and leave you here all by yourself?"

"No. They went on business trips to keep the income flowing so that they can pay the hospital bills. Besides, it's not like I'm totally alone, I still had other relatives who came to visit me."

"Okay then. Then I'll come the day after tomorrow?"

"Sorry, can't as well. My family will be there again."

"Still nope. Family."

"You're just trying to prevent me from coming to see you, right?"

"I'm going whether you like it or not."

"No, you aren't. I'll request for no visitors."

"Stop whining."

"I thought we were great friends."

"We are great friends. Doesn't mean you have to come visit me."

"It kinda does. It's what great friends do."

"...okay, fine. You can come and try your luck on whether you'll be allowed into the room I'm in."

"Great! So I'll come the day after your family comes?"

"Yeah, sure. But don't throw a tantrum if you're not allowed into the room."

"Marie!"

"What?"

"You're mean."

"Whatever. Bye."

"Wait, I need to ask you something."

"..."
