I sigh as I plop myself down on my couch, in my dorm. I groan and grab the letter that was laying besides it on a small coffee table.

I open it and read it carefully, sitting up slowly.

You will be receiving a roommate in about a week, so please take out anything that you own out of the other room, and make sure to greet your new roommate nicely.

But unfortunately Your new roommate is male, he is a good student so he will not cause you any trouble.

Huh, that cant be so bad, I can get a new boyfriend.

Lapis - Peridot Rhodalight!?

I haven't herd that name in years, he's that peepsqeek I used to tease, cause I was taller and older, well I'm still older but I haven't grown much, I'm only 5'7...

I wonder how he's like now... He always ignored me when I talked to him- teased him. Honestly I always regretted teasing him like that... Cause- well... I kinda developed a small crush in him... Well not small more like medium...

Okay it was a pretty big crush, but how could I help it, he was so cute and nice to a bunch of kids... Not me thou...

I sigh and get up, leaving the letter on the coffee table. I head to my room.

Maybe this is my chance to flip things around and actually become friends with him... Or maybe more- what am I saying, hell it'll be a miracle if he even talked to me...

Peridot pov

I slam my door and lock it, i gently touch my eye. My dad just hit me again, with a belt, he got me in the face and on my chest.

I run a hand through my hair and plop down on my bed. I rub my chest gently and hisses slightly when I found the bruise.

I cant wait to move out.
