December Groom

December 4th

Trunks and I went and did stuff together today. I was so excited. Maybe this was my chance, maybe this was what I needed to tell him how I feel.

Sorry for no formal openings, I was too excited to write down how I felt about today. We saw a movie, then went to dinner, and he said it was his treat. I hope Bulma doesn't start to lecture him about spending too much like she used to in the past.

Well the movie was boring. It was crap about Hercule Satan like usual. Dinner, however, was another story.

He took me to one of the fanciest restaurants around. I felt bad showing up in the clothes I took from Trunks' but Trunks reassured me that I would be fine.

We sat down and I saw how much the food cost and I almost died. How can they charge so much and give you so little!?

"Trunks, this place is really expensive. Are you sure you don't just want to get a burger or something?"

"Naw. My best friend deserves only the best. You always deserve the best"

I was taken aback by the last statement. I was confused as to why he stated it that way. He had always said things like that but never quite so blunt and forward.

"Um thanks Trunks. I just don't want Bulma to start lecturing you on your expenses again" I explained.

"She'll have to deal with it"

The waiter came and took our orders soon after. Trunks ordered a filet mignon, well done, with a side salad and a glass of merlot. I ordered pasta, with no side, and a glass of champaign. Being friends with the heir to Capsule corp does have it's perks after all. A little bubbly never hurt anyone.

"So Goten, I haven't heard anything about a girl recently. Is there someone who catches your eye?"

So badly I wanted to just say "YOU! You son of a bitch!" and kiss the life out of him. I wanted to so badly, but I knew that I would never forgive myself for doing that.

"There is someone, but they will never date me. They're too far out of my league"

"You never know until you try. I bet they feel the same way"

"Doubtful" I replied.

Our food was brought out at that moment and Trunks and I were done within mere minutes. I was still hungry, but I wasn't going to ask for something else. That would be rude, plus maybe a little dieting would do me good.

Trunks and I left the restaurant and headed back toward Capsule Corp. He invited me to spend the night and I told him I would have to ask my mom and go get a few things. He said he would come along, so off we went to my house.

I asked my mom and she said it was fine, so we ran upstairs and I packed a bag. I brought my phone charger, this journal, and some clothes for tomorrow since we have school.

We then departed for Capsule Corp and were laughing like idiots at each others jokes along the way. I slipped on a patch of ice but Trunks caught me with an arm around my waist. The rest of the walk was silent because neither of us could look at each other or speak without somewhat of a stutter.

Anyways, we're here now and Trunks left to go get some snacks and I'm not sure when he'll be back. I gotta go, bye.
