The rest of the week flies by and it's finally Friday. School has just finished and Lily's coming for a sleepover at mine tonight.
"So how are you and Jacob doing?" She asks as we walk.
"We're great friends but nothing more"
"Yeah right I'm 99.99% sure he likes you"
"Well why didn't he kiss me then"
"Maybe he thinks you don't like him"
"Hmm maybe"

The next morning Lily has to leave early to go to her grandparents so I spend the day with my mom. She has to run a lot of errands so I just decided to go with her since I've got nothing better to do. First we go to the grocery store to do our food shopping.
"Emily I need to speak to you about something" my mom says looking quite serious.
"Yeah what?" I say.
"Well I got a call from my boss this morning and she needs me to go to New York for the whole of next week. How would you fell about being left on your own?"
"I would be fine you should go"
She turns to face me "are you absolutely sure?"
"Yes mom and if I'm not I can stay at Lily's her parents won't mind"
She smiles "Oh yes I hadn't thought of that"
We continue grocery shopping and when we're done we go to the mall do to some Christmas shopping.
"Actually it's perfect that you're going away cause then I can wrap your presents without worrying about you seeing" I say.
She laughs "yeah and I can go shopping for yours in New York."
We go to the food court and get Chinese then we sit down at a table.
"So have you got any plans for tomorrow?" mom asks.
"Uhh yeah I'm going to a friends" I say unsure whether I should mention it's a boy.
"Who Lily's?" My mom kind of knows that I don't have much friends.
"No... Jacobs" I say praying that she won't overreact.
She gasps "who's Jacob? Is he your boyfriend? When can I meet him?"
"No mom he is not my boyfriend. We're just friends"
She smirks at me "well if you ever want any advice"
"Momm. Shut up" I laugh
"And what exactly are you going to be doing at this Jacob boys house?" She questions.
"I don't know. Hang out"
"Well have fun"

We get home at about 5pm and I go straight up to my room and text Jacob.
Emily- What time should I come over tomorrow?
I get a reply almost instantly.
Jacob- 1?
Emily- sure
Emily- oh btw what's ur address haha
I put my phone down and go to the bathroom to have a shower. After washing and jamming out to my tunes I get out of the shower and wrap a towel round my body.
I put on fluffy pyjamas and dry my hair. Then I check my phone to see that Jacob had texted me his address and it was actually quite close to my house. Then I pick out an outfit to wear tomorrow which consists of light blue ripped jeans and a long sleeved grey cropped jumper.
After getting into bed I finish watching an episode of stranger things and then I go to sleep.

When I wake up it's already 11:30 so I go downstairs and make myself pancakes with Nutella. After eating them I go upstairs and get dressed. Then I put on some light makeup, just mascara and concealer on the places I needed it. I brush my hair and leave it down as it's naturally a bit wavy. I start Snapchating Jacob since I still have 20 minutes till I need to leave. After saying hey he asks me to show him my outfit so I send him a mirror selfie. He replies instantly with the caption "nuh uh you need to wear comfy clothes we're just gonna be on the couch watching Netflix all day"
I change into leggings and a hoodie and send him another mirror selfie with the caption "better?". He sends back a picture of him with his thumbs up so I assume it must be a yes. I go downstairs and put on my uggs and jacket then leave. My mom is already out at work and she's leaving to go to New York tonight so I won't see her till next Saturday. I make sure to lock the door and then I walk the short distance to Jacobs house.
