I wake up extra early to have a shower since I forgot to last night then I get dressed. I wear a plain cream sweater and ripped grey jeans with a tartan scarf and my uggs. I then curl my hair and put on makeup. Then I go downstairs and eat breakfast. Lucky charms. My favourite. When I'm finished I go back upstairs and do my teeth. Then I grab my bag and leave.
"Yo" Lily says opening the door after i knock on it.
"Hey" we start walking towards school. "I still can't believe yesterday. I went from being too scared to talk to him and now we're practically bffs"
Lily laughs "aw you really like him"
"Yeah but I'm sure he doesn't like me back"
"You never know" we reach school just on time and we both speedwalk to math. I sit down and get my books out.
"Hey bestie" Jacob says sitting down.
"Hey" I smile at him.
"Yesterday was fun we should hang out again soon"
"Yeah" I say just as the teacher walks in.
After math and gym it's time for the history presentation.
"Okay class I want you to sit in your pairs and you have five minutes to get ready then we will be starting the presentations" the teacher says.
Jacob comes over. "You ready?" He asks me.
"No I hate doing presentations"
"You'll be fine I'll be right beside you"
"Thanks Jacob"
"So are you free on Sunday?"
"Hmm I dunno me and Netflix had to reschedule to then since somebody disrupted our date last night"
"Well I could just watch Netflix with you"
"Jacob if your wanting to Netflix and chill then I'm not the girl you're looking for"
"Okay. Do you want to come to my house on Sunday to Netflix and not chill?"
I smile "Much better. Sure"
"Well I'm gonna need your number so I can text you my address and stuff"
"How smooth sartorius I'll give you it after this lesson cuz I don't want my phone to get taken away"
Just then the teacher announces that the 5 minutes is up. "The first pair to present will be" he looks down at a sheet of paper in his hand "Emily and Jacob"
I silently groan and we stand up to go the front of the class.

"He asked you on date?"
"It's not a date. I'm going to his house to hang out" me and Lily are walking home after school and I had just told her about me going to Jacobs house on Sunday.
"It's definitely a date"
I suddenly get a text. I check to see who it's from.
Unknown number- Hey guess who😂
Me- hmm tricky one🤔 jk jk😂 hey Jacob
Unknown number- Hey Emily👋🏻
I changed his contact name and put my phone back in my pocket.
"See you tomorrow" Lily says as we reach her house.
"Bye" I give her a quick hug and she goes into her house.
I plug my headphones in and keep walking until I reach my house.
After unlocking the door I go straight to the fridge and get out some chocolate cake that was leftover from my moms birthday a few days ago. As I'm getting out a plate my phone starts ringing. I check it to see it's a FaceTime call from Jacob.
"Hey" I say leaning my phone against the wall while I cut the cake.
"Heyyy. Omg can I have some cake?"
"No can do. Unless you can be at my house in 5 minutes"
"Why 5 minutes?"
"Cause I'll have eaten it all in 5 minutes"
"I'm coming now" he hangs up and I grab a fork from the silverware drawer.
I put the remains of the cake in the fridge and sit down on the couch to eat it. A few minutes later the doorbell rings. I answer it to see a panting Jacob.
"Did I make it in time?"
"Nope" I run to fridge with him following and pick up the plate then I run out of the kitchen. "You'll have to catch me if you want it"
I run around my house with Jacob close behind me.
"Emily I want cakeee"
"Well your not getting it" I laugh and glance round at him while still running. I suddenly trip over something and fall causing Jacob to fall on top of me. He manages to catch himself with his hands that were on either side of my body. Our faces were only inches apart. I glance down at his lips.
"Im having that cake" He whispers ruining the moment and grabbing the cake that was surprisingly still in my hands.
"Oh sure" I say and he stands up.
"Thanks Em" he smiles.
"Oh so your giving me nicknames now?"
"Yup. I was thinking Em, Emmy, Milly"
"No I think Emily's just fine" I say. "Wow you finished that fast" the cake was gone.
"I love cake" he says.
"Well you better go I've got homework to do and my mom will be home soon" I say opening the front door and pushing him out.
"Cool so I'll FaceTime you as soon as I get home"
I roll my eyes "Whatever" I shut the door.
