My phones ringtone is playing on repeat when I wake up. Jacobs arm is wrapped around me and wresting just underneath my boobs.
I suddenly remember what we talked about and our kiss. I smile at the thought.
I sit up to try and find my phone but don't see it anywhere. My head hurts so bad. I realise the ringings coming from downstairs so I go downstairs. There is solo cups everywhere and some brown liquid on the floor that smells disgusting. Ew. I don't find my phone anywhere so I go through to my kitchen where I see it sitting on the counter. I reach it just as it stops ringing.
12 missed calls from mom.
Shit. I quickly call her back.
"Finally Emily I've been calling you for ages"
"Sorry I couldn't find my phone"
"Did you just wake up? You sound like you just woke up"
"No of course not its.. 1:30" I say seeing the clock on the wall. "Is there something wrong why did you keep calling me?"
"I just called to say that I'll be home in just over an hour. The flight just landed"
"Oh" shitt my house is such a mess.
"Emily are you okay?" Jacob says coming into the kitchen.
"Was that a boy? Emily I don't want you having boys round when I'm not there" My mom says through the phone.
"No it was just the tv" I put my finger to my lips and glare at Jacob.
"Okay well I'll see you soon love you"
"Love you too bye mom" I put my phone down.
"What's wrong you look like your moms just announced that your going to jail" Jacob says.
"Even worse. She's gonna be home in just over an hour"
"What?"
"We're not gonna get it clean in time Jacob she's gonna kill me. What do I do?"
"It's fine we can do it" he puts his hands on my shoulders "You start cleaning and I'll go get Lily and Liam. It'll be okay Emily I promise"
"Ok but I need to put some clothes on"
"Emily what happened last night?" He says referring to us both in our underwear. What the hell. Does he not remember.
"I... Let's talk about it later ok? First we need to make sure that my mom never knows that there was a party"
"Ok" he says.
I rush upstairs and grab my robe from my bedroom. Then I put it on and go back downstairs. I grab a few bin bags from a cupboard and walk around my house collecting solo cups from there various spots around the floor and tables.
"Hey Jacob told us that your moms gonna be home soon. How can we help?" Lily says coming down the stairs with Liam.
"Umm can you guys collect the rubbish" I hand them the bin bags "And I'll start cleaning the floor"
I go to the cupboard underneath my stairs and get a mop and bucket out of it. Then I fill up the bucket with warm soapy water and clean the floor with it.
"Want some help?" Jacob asks coming into the kitchen wearing what he was yesterday.
"Can you please start making sure the rooms are looking how they should be? My iPads in my room upstairs and it's got photos of exactly how every room looked"
