I wake up to my phone ringing. I reach over to grab it when someone hands it to me.
"Thanks Jacob" I mumble as I slide the answer button and put the phone to my ear. "Hello?"
"Hey I'm on my way to your house I'll be there in a few minutes" Lily says.
"Why?"
"It's a snow day and we're building an igloo today" she says in a duh tone.
"Okay well me and Jacob are still in bed so just use the spare key to get in you know where it is"
"Emily you do know it's 1pm right?"
"No I'm going back to sleep goodbye" I hang up the phone and close my eyes again.
"Emily?" Jacob says.
"Yeah"
"We should probably get up. I'm starving"
I open my eyes and turn round so I'm facing him. "How about you get up and I stay here" my eyes flit down to his still shirtless stomach. Those abs.
"Emily?" I snap back to reality and look up at his face to see him chuckling.
"What"
"I said let's get up and stop checking me out" he says getting out of my bed.
"Don't flatter yourself I was not checking you out there was something in my eye"
"Yeah right. C'mon am I gonna have to carry you again?"
"Yeah please do actually I can't be bothered walking"
He comes round to my side of the bed and turns round "get on my back" I pick up my phone and do as he says. "Let's go get breakfast" he says and walks out of my room.
"I think you mean lunch actually"
"Oh yeah what food do you have?"
"Ummm bagels and chocolate cake"
"I'm only eating the chocolate cake" just as we reach the bottom of the stairs the front door opens and Lily walks in. She smirks "I can come back later if you want I don't want to interrupt anything" I suddenly realised what we must look like. I was wearing shorts and a tshirt and Jacob was wearing pyjama pants and no shirt. And I was on Jacobs back. I hop down.
"Jacob you go and put on a shirt while I talk to Lily" he does as I say and disappears upstairs. I walk into the kitchen with Lily following.
"So what did you guys do last night?"
"We just watched a movie and ate Chinese"
"Anything else?" She wiggles her eyebrows.
"He fell asleep in my bed. Shirtless. But it's no big deal" I say opening the fridge to get the chocolate cake out.
"Omg are you seriously telling me that your crush sleeping in the same bed as you is no big deal?" She practically shouts.
"Lily he is upstairs" I hiss.
"Oh right I forgot. Anyway how was it? Did you cuddle up all night? Or did you do anything else? Tell me all the details" Lily gushes.
I hear somebody coughing from the doorway. I look up from cutting the cake to see Jacob standing in the doorway. "Oh shit did you just hear all of that Jacob?"
He nods looking slightly embarrassed even though I'm the one that should be embarrassed. Jacob now knows that I have a crush on him. "Okayyy well do still want cake?"
"Of course" he walks over and takes one of the plates of cake and a fork then he disappears into the living room. After shutting the door and making Jacob is out of earshot I turn to Lily.
"Lilyy I can't believe you did that I told you he'd hear. Now he knows that I like him. Could this get anymore awkward"
"I'm sorry but honestly I was doing you a favour. He totally likes you. He was blushing when I said that you had a crush on him which means that he obviously has a crush on you"
"Waiiiiit. You knew he was standing there yet you continued to say that?"
"Maybeee. Gotta blast I'll be back in an hour with Liam. We're still building that igloo"
"I hate you" I shout jokingly as she opens the door.
"Love ya too" she leaves.
Now I have to face Jacob. I'm so embarrassed I don't even know what to say to him. Suddenly the door opens startling me.
"Oh sorry I didn't mean to scare you" Jacob says walking in with an empty plate. He put it down on the counter and I walk towards him.
"No it's okay" if Lily's right and he does have crush on me then I'm gonna test him. He already knows I like him so it's not as if I've got anything to lose. He stays completely still, saying nothing as I get closer to him. I stop when I'm practically standing on top of him and stare into his eyes. He stares back.
"Emily w-what are you doing" he stuttered. I made him stutter! I put my finger to his lips.
"Shhh" I take my finger away and lean in as if I'm about to kiss him. He closes his eyes and starts to lean in but at the last second I pull away and push his face away with my hand. "Watcha doin Sartorius?" I smirk and walk out of the room leaving him stunned. I walk up to my room feeling giddy. If he was about to kiss me that means he must like me. I connect my phone to my Bluetooth speaker and play some music that I dance around my room to until I hear a giggle. Shoot I forgot to close my door. I slowly turn round to see Jacob standing at my door filming me on his phone. I lunge for his phone but he puts it above his head so i can't reach. "Jacob you better delete that right now"
"Or what?" He bites his lip. Okay maybe I shouldn't have just done that almost kiss because now he was not gonna let it go.
"Or I'll cut your balls off now give me that phone" I jump up in an attempt to reach it.
"Nah" he runs off down the stairs and I chase him reminding me of the time he chased me around my house because I had cake. I grab onto the back of his shirt and slow him down.
"Jacob I swear to god. You better delete that"
He stops running and turns round to face me "You looked cute in it tho"
"No I didn't. Why were you spying on me?" I put my hand on his shoulder.
"It's not spying when I'm in your house and you left the door open" he looks down at my hand so I take the opportunity to snatch his phone out of his hand. I take off running and manage to delete the video.
"Heyy that's not fair" he whines. I smirk and hand it back to him.
"Life's not fair" I pat him on the head and walk upstairs to my room making sure to shut the door this time.
