"Nothing but a tear, that's all for breakfast, watching you pretend you're unaffected. You're pulling our connections, expecting me to let you go, but I won't."

Leigh-Anne's POV

'It stung you know, watching you with her.' I typed swiftly against my phone screen feeling the burn of tears develop behind my eyes. 'Three and a half years Harry, just thrown away.' Why did he have to bring her there? Why did he have to smile in my face like his heart didn't hurt like mine is right now. Three and a half fucking years. My fingers were on fire from the speed they went across the glass screen. Did his heart burn like mine did when I saw him? Maybe not because I didn't bring a fucking date to Jesy and Odell's party. I was going there hoping Harry would at least talk through whatever the hell we were or even where the hell we went wrong with all of this, but obviously, Stephanie had him hemmed up like the fucking police. Although he didn't look like he didn't like it. 'Did you move in that quickly? Like, did we fuck up so badly that you can't even stay single for more than a week?' Send.

The blue bubble flew up signifying that the message was sent. I quickly lock the screen throwing my phone on the couch next to me. Today was supposed to be about my best friend and her now fiancé, yet it seemed so minimal to me at the time. All I wanted was to be happy for them, but how could I be when my heart was wrenching in my chest looking at Harry suck face with some girl after a week of our break-up. "Leigh babe." I heard a muffled voice from behind my apartment door. It was Jesy. I walk to the door, opening it to a very upset Jesy. "Babe why'd you leave?" She asked wrapping her arms around my neck pulling me into her chest. She smelled of roses, her perfume probably. I sigh, relaxing in her arms. "I just, don't feel well s'all." I whisper.

She huffed, I'm sure she knew I was lying but I honestly didn't care. "You don't have to lie to me Leigh." She said releasing me from her grip. "When you left Harry and his, date? Left as well. I think he was just being an ass." She added smoothing my hair back. "Well he is an ass Jes, we literally broke up a week ago and he already has a fucking interest in someone else?" I whimper feeling my eyes well up with salty tears. "Oh babe." She whispered pulling me into her arms again. "Come and sit." She added coming into my apartment and closing the door behind us. Her necklaces dangled and made noise as we walked, she was still dressed up from the party. "Jesy, you need to be with Odell. He literally proposed to you tonight, why are you here?" I whisper sitting in the same spot as Before on the couch. "Because you're my best friend Leigh, Odell is fine with it anyways." She said rubbing my back reassuringly.

"Did you see the way he looked at her Jes? Did he ever look at me that way? Out of the three years, did you ever see him look at me the way he looked at her?" I ramble on feeling the tears slide down my face, smearing my make up more than it already was. "Babe." She hummed. "I've never seen Harry look at anyone the way he looked at you." She added kissing my forehead lightly. "Then why did he have to hurt me this way." I whisper feeling my heart ache with a pain I had never felt before. I've never felt heartache like this, it was like having the happiness in your life ripped out leaving darkness. The one thing that lit up your world is snatched away in a matter of seconds. This pain, the pain I felt everyday since the Harry walked out of the door, was so strong, it was physically exhausting. "I don't know Leigh." She whispered sadly. She was right, why did I have to ask her these questions she'd never know the answer to?

The vibration of my phone surprised me, I quickly grab it.

'Text message from: Harry.'
Harry: I'm sorry Leigh, can we talk?
